It's 1284. He'd have to marry anyway to keep up appearances. Although I suspect we'd be able to adopt, given the right circumstances.

Well, there's certainly no adoption services. You can list somewhere as your heir if you lack any children, but that process depends on the scenario and is a whole 'nother story. We'll get to that bridge if we have to cross it.

And simply being homosexual does not mean you can not get married and concieve children, and certainly being a holyman doesn't either even if it is illegal.
