"But I am not an exhibitionist, so I can't play this game."

"What, exactly, are you doing, standing still, outside, at night?"

"I don't know your definition of standing, buddy, but I'm sitting, if you can't tell, and it's because I don't have anywhere to stay."

Tom starts laughing.

Cheru nods gruffly and walks back to the apartment.
Miaka tilts her head, confused.

Cheru senses that something is wrong as he enters the apartment. He senses danger.

He sniffs around.

Suddenly, a blue arc of light shoots through the floor, entering through the apartment door. The lightning seeps into the floor and causes the wood to shoot upwards in a spike which Cheru swiftly dodges.

He smells an alchemist--he could tell by the scent of chalk and ink.

"The hell's going on over there?" Lynzacht calls out

[SOLDIER First]

Could it be assumed that someone outside of the apartment heard this?

K-3T bristles, flexing her claws. The Cheru-being had assisted her. With one arm, she picked up Niisa, ready to move her out of the way.

The doctors assault? Her voice was a savage growl. I'll kill them. I'll tear them apart!

Lionan looks up from the bench and at the apartment.
"The hell was that?"
He walks toward the apartment to investigate.
