Pretty sure that's policy everywhere in the world to let the school handle it. At best, the cops will only get called if the student pulled a weapon and deliberately tried to kill a teacher. Hitting them would get them suspended.

Uh, they kinda do call the cops on kids with guns? We're lenient, not stupid. If a kid punches a teacher, we handle it. If a kid stabs a teacher, we call the cops.
