I was thinking of unleashing an army of ghosts and see if they throw a party kick-ass enough to destroy the fortress.

kick-ass awesome. How would you obtain said ghosts, though? Ghosts generally require killing dwarves...

Most definitely. This is the most fun way (and Fun way) for fortresses to fall. I'm pretty sure you're better than you say, though. :P You'd be surprised. Ten-year forts run themselves.

Does FPS death really count? I get 2 fps on average on some of my oldest forts. lol

I think he killed everything with magma, but his fps died at the same time because of fluid mechanics.

No, only 35 dwarfs died. Another 45 are miserable, and 89 persistent little buggers still think they are ecstatic.

If people want me to keep going I'll try, but things dropped from 70+ fps down into the 2-6 fps range.

Edit: I guess I'll try letting it run over night and see if the fortress is able to stabilize.

Edit Edit: 1-game week later and FPS is up to 15, so it looks like Knottower hasn't fallen after all. It looks like this inquisitionors job hasn't yet ended. Back to work.  ::)

I've got Wheeledcosmos just about wrapped up, will post a proper write up tomorrow. Honestly, a lot of my success is because of my unfamiliarity with the mod rather than my plans. Dwarfs in the militia just started turning into Holistic Spawn halfway through the year, which I didn't know could happen. Fun ensued.

Lmao! Yeah, if your dwarves get bitten by Holistic Spawn, there's a 33% chance (100% if you save, due to a bug Toady hasn't fixed) that they'll turn into Holistic Spawn themselves after a few months. Makes for a lot of Fun.

Really excited to see the write up. lol If it was halfway through the year, though, that would imply that Wheeledcosmos got attacked a few months in?

No, the only spawn I saw were the ones in cages, but the dwarfs that transformed were running fevers since I got the save, so maybe it just took longer than usual. In any case, I eradicated the rest of the militia, just to be safe.
