I really like the Hominids webcomic. I just love the artstyle and the story is nice too.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I find webcomics to be morally reprehensible and corrupting our youth.

I'm also posting to watch.
I generally agree with this guy  that there is little benfit to webcomics its not one of the worst forms of media and I have found an few good ones seperated in to three categories

1.good webcomics
PoppyOpposem
And
The dreamland chronicles
2.great webcomics
Gaia
3.would be great if not for objectible content
Girl genius

4. Everything else= unless it passes my strict series of tests it = bad

Now here is my requirements to reach catagory 1
No Nudity or referances to it not even bikinis or any kind of undergarments
Have a creative and original plot
Only have a small amount of parodies
Not have bad image quality
Not have senseless unexplained actions or events
Not have an unreasonably high level of violence
Use humor needlessly , about inappropriate topics , or poorly exucuted even though it has prooper timing
Have an unreasonably low level of character development
It must not encourage disliked acitivities or behaviors
For catagory 2
Prohibition s stey the same
In addition
Character development must be emplemented well and not in unreasonable ways
The story must be of the highest quality
The images must be drawn verry well to match my standards (related to one of my many motos "if have/include/do something either do it right or don't do it at all")
Must be able to surprise me
The third category is the same as the second except it allows minor infractions against the prohibitions

Now after that long rant I will say
I try to gaurd myself especially well for thought entertainment in its various forms is usefull for reducing stress and as divirision from pain or sufferings in its various I understand that my easily couruptible youth sould be protected so hereby ask you for advice on how theese restrictions I have placed upon mineself might be improved this I ask of thee  scriver to review my list of restrictions upon this form of media

Well, as I was joking in the post quoted above, I would advocate a general change of guidelines into something in the spirit of the following:

I like to read stuff that's fun.

...corrupt your youth? What does that even entail? You saw breasts in a wecomic, better start snorting cocaine?

Yeah, I read girl genius, gunnerkrigg court, SMBC, and one I didn't see mentioned - The Property of Hate.

Property is a really interesting one. Surreal art style, good writing, the works. A television-headed being invites a young girl to be a hero.

Spoiler: "Are you a monster?" (click to show/hide)

Gaia

I kinda do, but it's been on my "occasional check-in" list, verging on the "drop" list, so I may not count for much.

Also, to be fair about the whole "corrupting youth" thing, apparently the Foglios did a whole smut series before Girl Genius, though they stopped once they had children.  When I learned that, it seemed to explain so much about Girl Genius at times: just count how many times Agatha ends up in nothing but underthings, for instance.

Since Tyrol mentions it, his list does remind me of something a bit odd with my webcomic habits.  I can and will read stuff with absolutely awful art (early Questionable Content, Narbonic, or Schlock Mercenary; Not A Villain; impromanga in general), as well as stuff with real-world posed objects (well, really just Irregular Webcomic), but I simply cannot get into webcomics that use 3D artwork models like Dreamland Chronicles.  I've only read one all the way through, and more than once I had to set it aside for a while.  It's just...too off for me.

EDIT: Models, not artwork. Specifically, that Poser/Blender stuff.

The trouble with Gaia is that I like the art and the setting, but the story is a switchback of quality.
