((Same here. I knew I trained Insight for a reason. And that reason was +10.))

((A. My Athletics score will punch yours into the ground, B. But your Acrobatics skill could easily dodge it, C. We should probably take this to the OOC thread.))

I'll do the insight check when I get home, don't have any D20s on me at the moment and I don't really feel like asking someone for a random number between 1 and 20. :P

Thanks!

Alright, my internet d20 tells me that both of you have detected:

"Jakme seems to be a normal eladrin. He does not seem to be acting upon any outside forces. Jakme seems very motivated on getting you eight to the Prophecy Temple and is willing to bend the rules to get you there. He appears to have a crush on someone, but you don't know who.

Move, Silent Stalker: Get right behind them, and tap (non-lethal, you hear me?) two of them, each on the wrong shoulder, with a blade.

"So, do you understand your situation? No! Don't nod... just say yes, or no."

The bandits look at you drunkenly. Apparently they're unemployed hoboes now.

((Thanks Tawarochir!))

"Yes, I know what you mean... I've never thought of myself as a 'hero' either, and I've definitely never heard of this prophecy either. And I've got quite a few up in here, unfortunately." Erza replies, tapping the side of her head with a finger.

"Still, what do you think of it? The whole 'world is going to end' prophecy we're checking up on? Got any credence to it, or do you think it's just something someone pulled out of their ass to make the situation convenient? I wouldn't put it past that Jakme guy, that's for sure. Something about him seems a bit... Off. You know what I mean?"
"It's...hard to say. Jakme wants us to get to get to that Temple and he doesn't seem to care how exactly. But it could be that the prophecy is true and he's desperate to make it happen. Won't know more until we get there I guess."

That was the longest stream of words she had said in a whole year. Crazy.

"Okay, uh, listen carefully: I CAN HELP YOU WITH YOUR CURSE. COME WITH ME." (Enunciating carefully, not yelling.)

If they follow me, I'll have them locked in the castle until they sober up.

"Mmm... Maybe he wants the prophecy to come true, if there even is one? Rebuild the world in his own image, and that sort of thing. Maybe he's just working for someone who wants to do that? Hard to tell at this point. We just don't know enough..."

Erza is silent for a minute, thinking hard over recent events, before she straightens and walks over to stand near the monk.

"Well, I do know one thing for sure. We're in this together, and if something is going down, then I know that I'd appreciate someone watching my back for me when the time comes. You seem both skilled and honest enough to do that, and I'd do the same for you.

So what do you say? Stick together and look out for each other? It could be fun, and it promises to be interesting at the very least."

Keyleth thought for a moment before nodding. The tiefling didn't look like much of a fighter, but she seemed like a decent sort.

They are drunk enough to follow you despite having no clue what you mean. You lead them to the castle and turn them in.

Letting out a cackle which quickly turned into a girlish giggle, Erza skipped over to give Keyleth a quick hug that, for a moment, picked her off the floor in Erza's sudden burst of excitement before releasing her.

"Wonderful! We'll be the best of friends, I can tell! Or at least people who are suitably encouraged to help keep each other alive, which is just as good in my opinion."

Stepping to the side and slinging an arm over Keyleth's shoulders (and a tail around the hips), Erza let out a small gasp in shock before giving a smile that somehow seemed a little too big for her head.

"I just realised something. We haven't even introduced ourselves to each other! Friends, or at least partners, should know each others names, right?

My name is Erza. What's yours, sweet thing?"

Suddenly the elf wasn't so sure about this. Still, she struggled ahead.

"I-it's Keyleth. Nice to meet you."

Remembering the reason that brought him to the castle in the first place, David returns to the church and asks for the [local religious authority].

You find the [local religious authority], Father Sunn. There is a group of pilgrims traveling to Dome City in Oaasah to pay homage to Enkol in about two weeks.

"I will see them safely across the Wildlands, Father. I have yet to visit Dome City myself, so I am quite eager to join their pilgrimage."
