I destroyed the lean to near the claim. Also the guy we don't know wandering around is probably from the little single person settlement to the north of us. If you follow the river you will run right into it. I am pretty sure he has bought nails from my alt. I have no problem with friendly neighbors.
Ah, ok then. Panic mode shutting down.  ;)

Yeah, I think I know which claim you are referring to, I found one just few hours ago that I think is in the location you described.
And sure, I also have no problems with friendly neighbors.

I do feel bad though.
I was standing in the middle of our settlement. Sporting a backpack and axe, but otherwise butt naked. Like some sort of a freak.
No wonder he run away so quickly. :P

 :o

Meanwhile, I've finally got around to killing some crickets. I have 195 silver right now, ready to help fund the town.  :)

Well, that was a disaster.

While looking for Nienhaus I ran into a snake on a cliff. I was kind of trapped so I decided to kill it. I can one shot them so I figured I would try it.

I was just a little too late and it bit me and died once second later.

Fine, I thought, I'll just head back to our claim and drop off all my stuff and see if I can get a garlic to make the anti venom.

Well, there was no garlic to be found so I ko'ed.

Turns out my homestead had recently fallen, I have no idea how.

Now I am stuck in Boston. I have no idea if I will come back to this game as that is an infuriating way to sign yourself up for a 6 hour walk.

If I decide not to I will obviously pass off the silver (more likely that whole account) to someone else.

...that sounds terrible. I haven't been on lately, but it seems by the thread raiding is very rampant.  I don't really have anything worthwhile to offer, you could try spawning at Seriyu's for a shorter walk though.

I can't teleport anywhere so I'd have to make a new character or walk back.

That being said, the walk doesn't look as bad as I thought. I still think there are some seriously stupid design decisions but I'd really like to see the town take off.

What I need to do is get my alt (or someone) to teleport to Boston and give me the canoe and some food. After that I think I can make it back home eventually. The problem is that my alt at the base is only there to hold a torch so he can't even make himself a lean-to.

Aw, that's some bad luck, Fikes, really sorry to hear that!  :(
I hate snakes too, nearly the same thing happened to me yesterday, some rattler aggro'd me out of the blue, I tried to run away, got stuck in some cliffs, died due to poisoning.  :-\

I am currently on though, if by some chance you see this message. Otherwise, PM me for a time when you'll be so I can help.

Alright, I made it back to our area and I am feeling better. Maybe I just need to keep a better eye on my homestead...

I will be on in a couple of hours and I'd like to finally get our town setup so if you want to be there for that (or if you have some silver to contribute) lets meet up and build a town!

Ok, I'll be on for a few hours or maybe I'll just wait for you, Fikes. I wanna see the town happen! :)
I have currently 315 silver to contribute, 100+ more if I use my other character.

Speaking of homesteads, town charter covers larger area than basic claim, right? So it will include our current homesteads also?

Oh and I've taken agriculture, working towards gardening so we can get some pepper and garlic going on in the future.

Yeah, let's get this town going!

Also, will more of you guys join us? Cheedows? Sengoku?

I'm trying to join but for some reason it says Fikes hasn't settled yet, so I'm kinda stuck just wandering around Boston.

Hmmm, how are you trying to join? Did anyone send you an invite to our town, but you still can't join? Or are you just trying to teleport with a new character?

Also, Fikes: sorry I couldn't finish turkey plot yesterday. It needs nails and I can't make them.  :(
