Indeed, ten minutes into the game after last post, we finally overran East Town, then Shop Lane and finally the Docks (They were almost surrounded by that point). The front seems to have stabilized in West End, thanks to an apparently infinite supply of grey APCs, and we're having our very own Stalingrad moment.

I remember Shop Lane,  had some pretty cool squad moments on there, the funniest one was when me and four others (I think) came up behind a building from the south then I called in an H-4, the paratroopers dropped onto the streets then came running one of the grey directly at us trying to hide from the paratroopers and take cover behind the building at the exact same place we were hiding at, the guy was spotted by my squad but I was observing the paratroopers at the time and he somehow managed to avoid the hail of gunfire from my squad, knife me then run back away from where we were.

I'm planning on buying this as soon as it comes out on steam, provided I haven't spent my remaining money by then.
I'm assuming Steam versions will be fully compatible with pre-Steam copies of the game?
