I actually prefer snakes. Though I'm pretty sure everyone in my house would freak the fuck out if I got one.
Probably have to introduce 'em slow like, if it's an option. It took a while before some of my family could deal with the boa, back in the day, but eventually even the upturn-a-washing-mashine-at-sight-of-snake one was able to at least pet it without flipping out. They're neat (not so) little critters, and very chill when fed and familiarized. Boa constrictors are, at least.

... but yeah, critters. So long as it's not a bug, I'm probably down. Some bugs, too. Most animals are pretty alright, really.

This is actually the part that makes me feel awkward. Since I will admit, I'm pretty sure I'm misandrist. Though I at least know I tilt that way and know not to let myself say something stupid even if I can't help but think it.
I... have some misandry issues myself, I feel a lot more uncomfortable around men than I do women, mostly because of numerous experiences with the men I've met being dicks to me (trying to impose gender roles, and generally "boys being boys" sort of stuff), where women have almost always been much nicer.

I think disliking groups of people is actually ok, so long as you don't mix up the individuals with the group to which they belong, and don't let that dislike lead you down crazy paths.

I'm just going to throw out there that i had no idea there was a lobster on Bay 12. Also a disturbing number of people have not accepted Tarn Adams as their lord and savior.

I don't think disliking groups is okay when it's something people can't help. People can't help what gender or race they're born in, and just because plastic surgery exists doesn't mean people have a moral imperative to join the "right" one. Not that that's the point you're making, but modes of thinking that involve things like "you're not bad, for an X" make me a bit sad.

Personally, I'd like to think that it's peoples words that matter more than what they look like, especially on a forum.

This is a pretty fair point, and there's been plenty of times where guys have been very decent people, yet I still get the discomfort thing going, which feels awkward.

But I think something I should really be saying here, is that people need to be able to separate how they feel about something from it's objective value. Like... I tend to treat the "I feel uncomfortable around men" thing, as a personal preference thing, not an indication that men are bed in general.

Folks, we seem to be missing the grander point, here. You all need to learn that animals are for eating, not for petting. :P

Silly MZ. There's no need to limit one's options like that. It can be both.

Just, uh. Probably not at the same time?

... actually, I think the only things I've both petted and eaten were all reptile. Snake, gator, turtle. Eh.
