glaucus atlanticus?

Well I learned something new today. Not only is it adorable and resembles a starspawn with a tropical paintjob, but it eats other venomous fishthings like the man of war and uses the venom for its own defense. Thanks, Wikipedia!

Yea, they are pretty cool little slug thingies. I found out they are a thing from looking up what inspired the achelous from Final Fantasy X.

I mean, what is that even supposed to be?
... va-va-voom?

Actually, tilting my head at that thing and eyeballing it 10 minutes before midnight is making it look incredibly Freudian. You've got the hourglass stereotype, snake-imagery (possibly Ouroboros-like. Ouroborial?), and then the whole flower thing with all that entails. Rocking some kind of autopollinating female/male dichotomy something or other. Maybe that's Pokemon's idea of a subtle dirty joke?

It looks like what happens when artists run out of ideas and alcohol at the same time.

Just his 33.  It will take me a while to invite all you old bastards over for a screwdriver on the porch as my rotary phone doesn't have speed dial.

Also, Zelda II is fucking hard.  Remember when games only gave you limited chances to get through a stage/area?  Kids these days have it so easy -_-

38.  Re: limited chances in games, I love Rogue-likes for the 1 chance per run philosophy.  Took me 10 years off and on to beat Nethack.  The most promising game prior to the ascension run ended with me staring at the screen in disbelief.  My leveled up, nigh-invulnerable knight choked to death due to eating too fast :(.

I remember when, if you failed a game, it would burst into flames and you had to ask the programmer to make a new one.
