I'm 18 and feel very old hearing the ages of half the kids on here. I honestly thought I was among the younger member's of DF's playerbase. Of course, I started playing this game when I was only 15, so I should hardly be surprised.

OK, I have to reload the save.
There was a bit of a problem regarding flashfreezing, a ballistae, and a barrel of dwarven ale. Gonna fix it up.

Hmm.

40.

I tend to behave closer to 12  ( makes it easier to relate to the oldest spawn ).
So you are only as old as you act?  Let's go with that  theory.

I'm too young to play CC but I later emulated it on the pascaline.  Man the pascaline was so cool back in those days.  I used to calculate the movements of all seven planets!

I am 17. Birthday in 1 month. Started playing DF when I was 15. Joined forums at 16.
I can buy beer at most places without being carded. Maybe it has something to do with being 6'2, 210 pounds, with a thick beard?

But I do know that Aqizzer and Stworca are pretty grognardy.

Apparently a hair's breadth from 27 is grognardy now.

I get mad about people calling themselves "90s kids" when they were in preschool when the 90s ended, but since actually being a 90s kid would require being well into your 20s now, I'm not quite so keen to advertise it anymore.

So been a forum member for coming up on six years.  I remember when I thought everyone in the world had gotten into Dwarf Fortress before me.

Don't worry Aqizzar, people can think you're a grumpy old man all they like. You know the truth. :P

... huh. And here I was thinking you were older than me.

Not... not going to say how much younger, mind, but some.

Does feel weird, some days. Back's been more or less shot since I was 18, but otherwise I feel mostly the same as I did when I was 14-6-ish. Weigh a little less, bit more hair (and the beginnings of baldness), but that's about it.

Though yeah, 90s kid means you were born like mid-late 80s, imo. Old enough when it kicked off to remember (or at least conceptually been able to -- I honestly don't really remember much of my younger years.*) the whole decade.

*Or the recent ones, now that I think of it. Half starting to think I've got long-term memory issues, or at least highly selective ones.

I actually do find myself wanting to say "Back in my day" on regular occasion when I talk to teenagers.  I don't say it out loud, but I actually kinda like it.

I always use that term when talking to teenagers, especially when they look older than I do.

Gen 1 had so much more inspired designs.

I mean, what is that even supposed to be?
