As I recall, our oldest forumite is slink, who is in her mid-60's.

I, on the other hand, am 20, which seems to surprise people with unusual frequency.

According to the forums, I am 777.
I'm -987. Get on my forum level, broski.  :P

...Real talk, I think I've only been on this forum for three years now? Two? Eh. I haven't played roguelikes too long, and I really haven't seriously played a long running dwarf fort in pretty much ever. I've yet to make a pumpstack or have magma forges producing steel. I tend to lose interest because the fort aesthetics stopped appealing or "this shade of rock ruins the color" or "the walls aren't perfectly symmetrical" or "this landscape sucks" or "too many migrants to sort through what is this" or there's just other stuff I gotta be doing. I think I've spent more time recently modding the game for flavor or to suit my interests than I've spent actually playing to experience my mods.

These threads always make me feel old, seeing the number of teenagers.  I'm 26 for christssakes.

I'm constantly surprised by the number of people who are younger than I thought they were. I pretty much assumed most of you were at least late 20s, but apparently not. Must be the old school ASCII characters and fascination with bearded alcoholic midgets eating puppies that gave me a wrong impression.

That's because you alternate between this and much older to us people who only have a single point in time/space.

Anyway. I'm. Uh. 21 now.

I can see 18 approaching in six months.

So I am and feel very young.

lol.

I don't think any age before 50 can be counted as old, and even people after the 50s do things that not even young people manage to.
This thread confirms for me the fact that more and more young people have been enjoying the vast world of roguelikes, which makes me wonder: Will we be the continuation of the roguelike legacy? I plan on studying C++ and computer sciences, starting from this year, maybe one day i'll be part of a roguelike development team?

Quite honestly even though I'm just 22 I FEEL so much older.
Both physically and mentally :P
I mean I have a fairly physical job (paper delivery, which sucks ass in the winter) that leaves me all achy and I feel like I'm constantly being injured.
But that's just the physical part.

Mentally I pretty much hear every second that ticks by as "you will never get this back and you are closer to death" so there's that.

Turning 19 in late July. Curiously, I registered for the forums only a few days before my birthday last year.

I say "back in my day" but never seriously. Yet.
