For the curious who have not dared venture into the realm of madness that is Avalanche team I, being the perpetrator, shall summarize. Trier ran into a crowd and stabbed 10 people with his crystalline projector. Of those 10 people, 7 just died of crystal growths however the 3 which survived were converted into crystal monsters that promptly tried to murder Trier. Trier popped a goop grenade trapping the monsters, and is now trying to negotiate with them.

Temporary insanity((Bad Char roll)) No, wait, thats a boring reason, let me try to retroactively bullshit my way into character depth.  Trier has had a phobia of groups of ten standing around in a loose crowd, ever since his days in the mob where a rival family named the Decem's would always send hit men in groups of ten. This phobia lasted well in to his medical and military career where he received numerous citations for assault and general blasphemy when he was confronted with groups of ten, be it soldiers under his command, or just nurses standing around the hospital.
