Same way slicing someone's arm off is a roll when you're standing next to them, they're not moving, and they actually want you to do it. There's always a way to fuck up. Hey man, I had the same thing happen. Lowest possible roll of 4, no pressure, low range and immobile target, and I still screwed up somehow. Shit happens, I guess.

I did, though! Dan was competent and shit in the initial bit and then waited around for several RL weeks while waiting for competent people to do competent shit. Instead there was a guy with multidimensional rainbow arms, some guy turned into a fairy and then got decapitated, there was an amp overload, and an invisible bear appeared. It's not my fault that every time I do anything I explode into a massive ball of horror (even though it totally is my fault)
