In that case, you may want to try and save a last weapon type as an ace up your sleeves for when the brain is removed. Hopefully without a brain, they'll be too slow to adapt resistances.
Well, I can't get anything, why do you think I got a laser rifle and gauss rifle with AP and HP rounds? I'm going for maximum versatility here.

I was thinking more of a Crystalline Projector or Testament, but a storm of explosives would probably work.

If all else fails, drop a damn Crystal growth facility without any safety measures onto the other side of the planet and fucking run.

You could keep the more flesh-damaging modes of the Spektrs/Radugas out of use until you're beset by everything. Microwaves and X-Rays are sufficiently different from regular lasers that any regular organic anti-laser defense is not going to be fully effective.

Anything that causes mass radiation damage could also be useful - to draw attention /away/ from you. Some kind of automated vehicle that spews radiation, chemical fire, and tosses small N-Bombs while going in a direction away from where you're evacuating to, could be worth looking into.

That's what M19 is, isn't it?

Do really want to rely on just them to succeed? :P

Well, go ahead, but I don't think it's nessecary nor token efficient to bring along a fission instigator.

How about just shooting down a couple automanipulators (just like a fission instigator) at a critical moment to help with the distraction business?

40 Tokens? Well, remember (This is just a informed guess) that the haebi can still create soldiers as much as they want form their little barrack style haebi fortification, so shooting a fission instigator too far away, haebi will just make some soldiers closer to the impact site while too close and... Well, instant team vaporisation.

The point is to divide the response as much as possible.

If we had that thing they used on Hephaestus, that drone hive pod thing, that'd be cool to drop on the Haebi as a distraction.

Maybe I'll buy a nuke and throw it. Things are football shaped for a reason.

Or maybe fold an amp using newb into a football shape and throw that.

It'd be pretty cool if "airstrike" was in the armory. Pay, like, 10-15 tokens for a single-use airstrike (in a variety of flavors) to be used on a specified target during a mission. Probably of significantly lesser potency than a nuke of equal cost, but the delivery method's so much more reliable (in that you don't have to actually place a nuke anywhere).

Sword has laser batteries. Might be cool to have, but who would wanna pay for that? Already people seem to dislike buying 'consumables' even if they're cheap.

That is true. I mean, nobody is ever, ever going to buy a fission instigator. Ever. And a megaton nuke is extremely pricey and virtually useless due to its potency. High-priced consumables just don't work at all on any level. Would probably be better to use one of those fan-powered suits to get yourself high up and drop 1/8th kiloton nukes on buildings instead.

Seeing as tokens basically represent how trusted you are to handle equipment, what if you could purchase a revokable "permit" that is more expensive than a given consumable but allows you to get free refills of it?

So if someone say specializes in suppressive and covering fire, they could purchase an ammo refill permit for their weapon and not have to worry about ammo as long as they do their job right and don't just unload their weapon randomly.

That could work for consumables and ammo, actually. Imagine buying a grav-shot permit for 20 tokens or something of that nature, then get to shoot up to 3 to 5 of those out of your gun each mission.
