We'll yes but I was thinking more in the stile of creation myth gods then Greek level interaction gods. Plus, if someone else also did it we could have our arguments IC. Plus some Third Age actions involve direct contact.
You could still have arguments IC as vague forces. Take wars, for instance. As for the direct contact, we'll just have to wait for SJM to tell us what's up.

Of course, generally in fantasy fiction gods act a lot more then they do in real life. Less subtly as well.
Not always. I've seen some where gods exist exactly as much as I'm going to need to think long and hard about how to finish that statement without infuriating most people on Earth.
Yeaaaaah, let's keep ourselves to ourselves here, hopefully enough to prevent most religious arguments.

I believe in Warhammer Fantasy there's a (chaos) god of atheism. He gets actively weaker if you believe in him.

That would be in very old versions then, because I've never heard of him.

Are you a GM with players who haven't posted? TheDelinquent Players Help will have Bay12 give you an action!
[GreatWyrmGold] gets a little crown. May it forever be his mark of Cain; let no one argue pointless subjects with him lest they receive the same.

OK: To clarify:
1) Players are gods - creation myth style, rather than directly interaction.
2) The mention of RP was meant to cover other aspects - as Fniff said, detailing of events. basically, actions should not occur as the result exclusively of a divine command (in the third age at least), but should make sense given the history and detailing of the city etc. concerned - this is not to say divine command takes no part. Directly divine forces can still be used.
The main purpose of this is to avoid people destroying people's creations wildly, and instead have conflicts that are meaningful as part of the world's history.

And on that note, turn order (5 players taken, in order of posting - froggy gets a place as he was one of the original interested parties.):

1. darkpaladin109
2. Remuthra
3. The Froggy Ninja
4. GreatWyrmGold
5. Fniff

Other players will be held in reserve in case players drop out.

On the subject of mapping - players should update the map for their turn - the exact map key isn't too relevant as I will produce a fresh map at the end of each round.

making a seperate IC thread now

Not even MSpaint or the like? It isn't ideal, but if you can describe placement in enough detail that i can get a good idea, and not complain if I don't get it exactly right, it should be fine.

EDIT:Also, the watcher referred to IC is me :P

2EDIT: And, it begins! please bold game actions.

I honestly feel that turn orders are like a clinical condition for forum games. One with a very high mortality rate.

Treatment: if you're waiting too long for the guy who should be taking a turn, grab yours and run with it.

I've got one question before I make my post. Do we just declare what we want to do, or do we edit the map ourselves?

Not quite yet. Hopefully in future turns will be more prompt. If not, then turn order will be altered. the waitlist is sufficiently big to cut habitually untimely players.

Edit yourself, ideally.
