You know you were on overwatch when that sectoid shot Ulbretch and Theros, right? Both times your reflexes failed to trigger :P

So Kevin died in a glorious UFO explosion? That sounds oddly appropriate. :P

Is submitting new cannon fodder allowed, or is it strictly one per person?
I need all the warm bodies I can get at the moment. If Max can have his Maxclones, then of course you may submit another character.
First off, aww he didn't die in a glorious UFO explosion. Getting shot is the pits.

Second off, NEW CANNON FODDER!
Name: John Smith
Preferences (weapons, stats, etc): Rifles and the occasional explosive.
Bio: He was once a simple farmer before a UFO landed in his field. He hid under the craft as the aliens moved about, doing whatever it is that aliens do. Shortly after, he witnessed an epic battle between some secret forces and the aliens, and was badly scarred by an explosion from the alien craft. Vowing revenge, he even went so far as to change his name to John to attempt to join the only known organization capable of fighting the extraterrestrial threat.

Ulbrecht (the I or the II) is neither in the roster nor in the graveyard.
Surely you're not implying I'm a deserter, are you?

I think you've done better than i have so far. To be exact, I had one UFO crash over water, then 2 terror missions. In a row. 13ish dead so far, and I'm not even done with that second mission yet.

The pain!

If your soldiers were knocked unconscious, it might of been a small bomb that went off, which I guess was enough to kick the reactor into exploding.

All aliens prime their bombs for zero, but they don't prime it until they throw it I think, and if it was a regular grenade your soldiers would of most likely been dead. Three people falling unconscious with none dead makes me suspicious it was a small bomb. Small bombs are the only thing I can think of that would knock people out, be an explosive, and be on a sectoid inside the engine room.

Thing is though, I thought small bombs were only ammunition, not actually grenades.

You (the first one, anyway) were X-COM's first casualty :D

Oh, X-com. You pay so little attention to where your recruits come from.

Good idea.

ETA: Does anyone know a way to make DOSBox record gameplay footage? I know how to take screenshots (duh) and I discovered last night that it can record audio (resulting in a two-hour-long audio file of music, footsteps, bleeps, screaming, and shooting), but a way to record the actual stuff on-screen eludes me. If I could do that, I could simply record a play session (or bits of it, like missions) and then take screenshots of the interesting stuff afterwards.

You should just play OpenXCom. It uses OpenGL, fixes all of X-Com's bugs, and provides lots and lots of neat options and features (most of them optional).

Also, that first explosion that knocked everyone out was most likely a small launcher firing a stun bomb on overwatch.

Also also, I literally just now was wondering whether I could start an X-COM LP, and now I don't have to! ^_^
