Too many interceptors/rail fliers just gives you a lot of targets to shoot down.
Plasmas though, they're still dangerous in aerial numbers.

According to the detailed post its a mega plasma-sized, 300 cpu weapon with 5 connectors that maxes out at 4 instead of 6 guns, and you lose half your damage against grounded targets. Health is twice that of either mega gun. So you'll probably have to rebuild a robot to fit it anywhere, unless you're using giant guns already. They did not however mention if it was restricted to the top of your bot or not...

I worry the aeroflak will mostly punish those dumb enough to be using aerofoil wings, while thrustercraft will still be alright or at least not as worse off.  Actually using wings on your plane is just a bad idea, especially as they are gigantic and have the hp of tissue paper.

I would assume you make them the same way you made any fliers before aerofoils or heliblades: Balance mass, lots of thrusters, helium as needed, hope you didn't screw something up, get shot down by more manueverable aircraft.

Aeroflak appears to be a very large weapon that deals 2x damage to fliers (or 1/2 to ground units, your choice).  The listed DPS is "The same as 6 nano distruptors" so even at half, with two of them mounted, you get decent damage at range against ground units, which doubles if they jump, hover, or fly.

There's no reason you shouldn't be able to make a flier with flak, but they're probably heavy in a way similar to treads.

Aeroflak costs as much as a megaplasma, and is only 4500kg. That is much lighter than both lowest-level mech legs and lowest level tank tracks, but makes it the heaviest weapon by an absolutely gigantic margin. 1.0 heal rate, 9k RR.

Actually, it's even better: 6x Disintegrator Laser is the dps of one flak, but the increase in dps isn't that big when you add up to 3 other cannons
