Wesley sighs.
"Then I'd like to see about getting some leather armor miss."

Gerwick's head pops up from the selection of weapons at the sound of the word armor "Me as well please, armor doesn't seem like such a bad idea."

Krom checks both the price of the assorted charms and the weight of his own purse.

Kannii picked up the hand crossbow, shifting the weight. She tested the pullback. "30 gold for a hand crossbow? A hefty price. Twenty would be more suitable." barter!

’30 gold for leather armour, lad. 10 if you just want cloth. That goes for your friend to. If you want something heavier, feel free to ask me or my brother.’
(3+5) The woman turns back to Kannii. ’Sorry, but there aren’t all that many trees on this island, considering how much we need for firewood. Wood’s expensive to come by, and the mechanisms are bloody tricky to make. It’s a wonder we only charge 30 for it.’
At the charm stall, the vendor follows Krom’s gesture, pointing out prices of the indicated items. 20g for the ring, 15g for the amulet, 5g for the coin and just 2g for the ribbon.

Gerwick also hands over the money. "Also, do you have short sword I could buy? I need a better weapon than the dagger I have.

((Dice, you have failed me!

I just remembered about the advance payment. Just... pretend I distributed that to everyone when we were walking. 20gp for all! ))

"I see. Then I'll take it and 20 bolts. Is there a shortage of iron, as well?" She smiled.

Buy hand xbow +20 bolts. Barter for bracers

Sorrel put a hand to her chin, feeling as she always did when she returned-cold.

As she rose and left the altar, the Mira reached into her pouch and took out some of her money-it wasn't much-and dropped it into the nearby strongwood donation box. To help the needy.

After all, the money had been given to her in the spirit of charity-or else liberated from the pockets of troublemakers who would have put it to bad use. It was only right it go to those in more need than herself...

...

She still would have preferred a decent side-weapon, however, she mused walking back-one with reach. She had recently owned a throwing ring-a deadly steel device called by some a (the bloodthirsty) 'limbtaker', by some (the religious) a 'Riza', or Rice Cutter, by others (the poetic) a 'Windstar'-it's more proper name was 'Chakrani', or Chakram. It was a curious weapon unique to the Mira-one that could be hand tossed to cut with it's long blade, or to strike a heavy bludgeoning wound with it's flat, angled edge. The more artistically made of them a queer whistling noise as they flew through the air-one that could set a warriors heart from boldness to ruddy caution, if he had ever encountered it's like before. A weapon capable of incapacitation-or decapitation, she though with a morbid smile. Even Sorrel has a certain dark sense of humor.

Unfortunately hers was now located at the bottom of the ocean, or else bestowing a pirates belt, and perhaps he had already sold it at the local market she now walked through for a night of wenching. She had quite lost track of it in the scuffle to avoid a painful and prolonged death.

Finding a replacement would not be easy...or cheap. And 'true Mira craftsmanship' was not always guaranteed in these far lands.

She decided to look for one, for a short time-otherwise, providence would provide.

Sorrel could fight with a rock just as well, and had.

Action: Sorrel donates half her money to a local church thats helping the victims, and goes to the meeting point. Assuming she has any money left, she'll try to buy a replacement throwing-ring.

If not possible, along the way, she'll scavenge a leather or cloth strap and stones to work as a makeshift sling.

Krom considers the trinkets. The latter two were cheap enough to be definitely worth buying, but the others...they would be interesting, if Krom learned their secrets, but perhaps not worth the cost.
Feeling the weight of his purse, he decided to splurge a little.

Purchase the ribbon, the coin, and the amulet. Once purchased, examine them for runes.

The woman slides 2 leather armours across to the men as she takes their coins. Then she gestures to her brother’s side of the stall, and the array of weapons there. ’A shortsword will cost you in the region of 35 gold, lad. Still interested?’
(9+5) She also passes the crossbow and bolts to Kannii, qiuping back ’Only when we’re short on coin. Unfortunately, that doesn’t make it any cheaper. I’ll give you a coin off, and only for being a good sport.’
The amulet holds only a single rune - (A9). Whilst it is not one whose meaning Krom knows exactly, he can remember seeing it in a prison once. The scratchings on the surface of the coin seem to be completely random - they follow no pattern that can be discerned nor recognised without further knowledge. As for the ribbon - that is strangest of all. It is a simple blue ribbon, embossed with blue runes. The runes are recognisable, but read more like a script than a rough enchantment. Just as the meaning becomes partly clear, the runes shift and change.
Outside the shrine to the attacks, a number of individuals stand gathering funds to help the victims. The most official are the priests of Water, and it is to these that Sorrel gives her alms. A fruitless search later reveals that even the mostexotic stalls do not have a  ring such as she looks for - only a few have ever even heard of such a thing. however, cloth is easily gathered from amongst the scraps cast aside, and stones are easy enough to come by, giving a crude sling.
