"Ha! I suppose so. I'll take the bracers then, lady, and be grateful I still have enough coin to eat." She grinned as she took the cold iron, quickly locking them onto her arms. Coin was passed over to the merchant, who no doubt was pleased with her sales.

"Interesting."

Attempt to determine if there is a pattern in the meaning of runes.

Gerwick passes over 35 gold, and Kannii 19, and each receives their goods in return. the stallholders thank each of them in turn.
Krom examines the runes, but each time as he gets closer to the meaning, it seems to change. (15+3) He does, however, manage to discern that whilst it can likely do as the vendor described, it possesses much greater capabilities than that. As he does this, an image flashes through his minds eye unbidden, of a sword once owned by a companion - and the ribbon tied around its hilt.

((If everyone's done, should i skip to the tavern this evening? Also, my random loot table does feature an entry for 'references' :P ))

Kyle nods to the two checks to see if there is a seller of swords.
((I'm gonna tell you this now, I'm looking for a second cutlass because pirate.))

Nodding to the smith's, Gerwick will walk over to Krom "That's a nice looking ribbon, did you get a good deal for it?"

Wesley sighs as he counts out the thirty five.
"I'll take the cutlass sir."

Unless soemthing interesting happens, Kannii heads back to the inn to await her guest, paying the landlandy a coin (or however much it is) for room and board.

The man passes the cutlass across with a mute nod, taking the coins with his other hand.

((Unless anyone else has any actions to take, I'll presume everyone is back at the inn for now.))

The party regroups a short while later at the Spring’s Watch, receiving a warm greeting from the ogre innkeeper.
’I don’t know what you did to my cellars, but you’re welcome back any time.’
In the corner a pair of dwarves work on the walls, reinforcing them and slowly repairing the worst of the damage. They are assisted in their endeavours by a drowish mage, who scrawls runes on the freshly worked stone.
Seeing the attention they draw, the ogre speaks once more. ’Hired with the coin you lot put in my cellars. Yes, Edra told me all about you. Though - a word of advice - you may want to keep it quiet that you can do things like that or you may have a few jealous mages knocking on your door.’

Sorrel nods at the work going on.

"That he is.

I believe we should settle the matter of our groups next job right now. I'm casting my lot with the Dwarves-but, I'll accept a majority decision either way.

Where do you all stand?"

"I say we fight with the Dragonslayer."
Whether she meant alongside or against was unclear, as she did not know herself.
