Turn 0: The Train Company

In the Saloon of a small town on a quiet night, six men sat discussing their joint enterprise, a small train company. They met in this saloon all the time, sometimes discussing business, but often was purely social. After a few rounds of poker, a seventh man walked in. Luke “Lukinator” Dawes, the Sheriff of the town. He walked over to the 6 men, then drew his gun. “I have information that one of you is a notorious conman, and three of you have been using your train company for nefarious purposes. That doesn’t happen in my town, and tonight the four of you are going to find yourselves on the ground with bullets in you. Now, which of you are those ruffians?

Everyone except the Sheriff is Surprised (-1 to accuracy)

(Lukinator is the Sheriff. Everyone else should have received their role PMs. Like last game, there is 1 Sheriff, 2 Deputies, 3 Outlaws, and 1 Renegade. PM actions are allowed (although only GWG took advantage of this last game). The Sheriff has a secret trait that only becomes known once used, however it was randomly chosen from ones previously listed in game.

New addition, rolling a 1 on a firing role has a chance of causing you to drop your gun instead of it jamming. Dropping your gun has various consequences depending on how well you role.)

Just sit in a corner, finishing my whiskey as Sheriff enters. Take all of the attention attached to sheriff. Just in case. That is no good. What I learned on the Wild West, that is as a man like him enters, things get messy.

((Just in case. Let it be after GMs post))

Tiruin tips her hat to the Sheriff, while crossing her arms and looking out the window. Sure, the papers had her labelled as a man, but that would definitely be due to the sexist bias running in the general theme here--she ignored this and placed the notion of 'western game hunter' in the list. Nobody would think twice that a woman'd be a gunslinger. No, not even in this era were they commonly heard of. Though, this conman and the others would be a significant thought in her mind. If this place was swarming with deadlies, there'd be trouble soon.

They'd be wrong to cross her here, but they didn't know who she was, firstly.

Idle chatter--get to know the people around me (ie PM role-hint if I roll good enough on a random person...even if we're in the same faction or not.)

[Disclaimer: I use the PMs but give the hint of it in my posts. :) Good luck to y'all!]

"Not I, guv. Though you'd first be checking the conductor and barkeep first on whether they'd be serving notorious fellas. Damn chits be running everywhere--anywhere there'd be business.

"Don't you agree?"

New post due to game mechanics. I believe the Renegade is underpowered at the moment and I'm quite open to ask for a minor edition to that role despite me being a player in game (yeah yeah personal disadvantage whatever :I). While, yes, people don't know roles early in--it would be hard up for people to discuss roles and allegiances later on in game when people sort of get used to who is whom as...this is more of a game rather than a logic-fight.

I'm wondering if a one-use item could be given to the Renegade (given how its like a third-party among two factions) which gives a tiny advantage (ie +1 to a roll when it was used; item must be announced in public to be used...and such)

((Or one of a number of potential weapons--Molotov cocktails, dynamite, maybe a grenade--that marks them as a renegade and is dangerous if badly used, but also has the potential to harm/kill multiple people at once?
Also, TIRUIN'S THE RENEGADE!!1))

Well, last game the DAF did fine so I'm sure that whoever the Renegade in this game will also do okay. The Renegade being the hardest role to play is slightly intentional in the game I'm basing this of off.

(I like how several business partners and friends just decided to start shooting each other just because the sheriff accused one of them of being a con-man.
