They could follow you, which would make things more difficult than they already will be when sabotaging the air conditioning.

Fine, just try to lose them, maybe in a crowded place or a back alley? Do those exist in the future?

There is a park directly past the mob of people, that'll take a more direct route back to your rooms.  There is also an alley to the side that'll lead to a less direct route, if you wanted to hide somewhere, and continue your sight seeing, that is also allowed.  A judicious, non-lethal use of power in this instance could aid or hinder your chances to escape.

Angel's flame scythe goes over the heads of the onlookers hitting the park behind, a great many cover their heads in fear and turn away as the group retreats around the corner.  The sounds of the ship's fire suppression system reach the team's ears as they gradually wind around the alley.  Soon, the entire district is being rained on to prevent further incidents.
