Nadarr snarls and stamps his staff on the ground.

"Oy, shut up ya f***ing sonuva whore!" He roars at Weston. He REALLY seems to hold that curse against you.

"Do ya know 'ow much it bloody 'urts ta be livin' like dis because of ya damn curse!? I FEEL NOTHIN' BUT PAIN! An' you expect me ta let ya just walk in 'ere an' act like its all fine an' dandy? F*** off!"

Upon closer inspection, you realize that Grot's stupidity has worked against you.

He turns to Nadarr after he says his piece.

"... At least I can get ya back to da chief in pieces, an' he'll fix ya right up. COME ON BOYS!"

Several bodies rise up bearing cleavers. You hear goblin chatter behind you as Grot puts his helmet on and readies his blade.

"IT'S FEEDIN' TIME!"

You hear movement back behind you as one of the goblins approach! Grot raises his hand.

"Even in ma state, I can still strike in da name of da big high war god!"

A flash of dark light shoots out of his hand! It strikes Weston, dealing (11) damage!

Nadarr begins his turn! ((Because he's busy without having a laptop, I'll be playing his turns))

Nadarr's eyes glow blue as Nadarr casts light coming from his staff! It lights up the area around him up to 2 bright light, 1 low light and 1 dim light. All undead in his light take 1 radiant damage. He then throws his Vagabond's die at Grot! (4) The soldier's fist appears and marks Grot for an extra 2d6 damage! Nadarr then casts Arcane Whirlwind, extending its range with his feat power! (12+7) (17+7) (15+7) Nadarr hits the two goblins around Grot and Grot himself, dealing (4+2+4+6+7) damage thanks to the soldier fist! The shadow goblins drop, save for Grot! Nadarr drops his action point and then casts Erupting flare on Grot! (15+7) His spell hits, dealing (4+7) damage and uses the ability of his orb to cause Grot to take (5) ongoing fire damage!

More goblin chatter behind you! Weston begins his turn!

"I have a fair few ways to heal myself, and you're more likely to benefit from the effects of draining all the souls at once, so feel free to take the helmet." Karl says, fastening the cloak to his armor.

When the hammer starts speaking, Karl just stares at it, then at the voodoo head and Cromwell as they both back away. "Oh, very well. It gives me a ranged attack option, and some of those shadow monsters have been giant sized." More softly, he mutters. "What's one more talking weapon?"

Karl picks up Molly and addresses it.

"Hello, Molly. My name is Karl. Roth has passed on, many many years ago. Together, you and he forged legends that persist to this day. Now I ask you to fight once more."

"On second thought, I have a cloak already. Do you need that helmet? I think I could use it for something..."

He looks over at Karl as the hammer speaks, and he holds up his hands.

"Not me, mon."

The head laughs your comment! (+1 disposition to the head) As Karl explains what happened to Roth, Molly starts... Crying?

"Well aren't ya da womaniza' mon? Ya supposed ta be sweepin' 'er off har feet, not makin' har drop ta har knees an' cry."

Molly cries for a good bit before sniffling. You ask her if she can lend you her power. Shes ounds a little more confident, but still shaky from the news.

"I.. I can try... *Sniffle* Just give this poor girl a bit of time to gather herself... I'm not in the best of spirits... *sniffle*"

You notice the strap on the handle makes it easy to attach to your belt for fast drawing. Well, as fast as you can grab a throwing hammer. You also take Elve's End, though you don't think it will help much against the undead or the necromancer (though you're not 100% sure WHAT he is, as he's always hooded...). Cromwell takes the helmet, and you both kind of leave the cloak in your backpacks. For some reason, it seems very out of place compared to the other items...

To pass the time, you continue to look about the room, but despite being exactly what most of the party arrived to get for their payment, you can't help but think that this fortress's hoard of gold is a little lackluster compared to what Olon said it was compared to what he made it sound like.

"So. This room is, aside from somewhere we need to head back to before we leave, pretty much a dead end."

He sighed.

"Should we head back up and look around for more places to go to? Try to find the others?"

Karl summons Siga from the figurine and tells him to track Weston. Hopefully the head can provide a scent clue for the hound.

You steal the head of the dead shapeshifter and it flakes off in your hand a bit. You do a heal check on both (5+7) (CRIT) You don't heal isbat, but you jump start Thoradin so much, he heals fully. He awakens with a start and shakes his head.

"Sorry lads. I don't know what came over me... But I remember it all...  By Moradin's hammer... What have I done..."

He looks around and gets up and leads you down, saying that he knows the way to the treasury from here, which is on the way to the forges, where you recall is the deepest part of the fortress.

Nimue screeches weakly before you make your way down. Shes getting farther away from Weston. You go down lower and lower, and she seems to be getting a little better as you do, but still distant. Thoradin and Isbat take a couple breathers along the way to heal up, and you all take in as the deeper you go, the more it seems things haven't been here in a long time. Cobwebs are present here in large quantities, unlike the upper floors that are just dusty and ruined. You don't think many undead or husks pass by here often.

After about an hour of walking, you make it to the treasury door. However, its sealed shut. Luckily, there's a sign that says "Vault Controls" In a small room to the side. Inside is a lever.

Weston & Nadarr:

You cast your strongest spell! (1) (14+7) Your orb turns yellow in your hands and you hurl it at full force! It strikes him dead in the chest, dealing (10+10+6+7) radiant damage! He roars in fury as you hurt him immensely. He is now bloodied! Shadow Grot begins his turn by ripping off his own head and grabbing a flail handle chained to his head. He holds his own head now as it glows and uses it as an impliment! He casts some dark magic at you, (?) striking you right in the chest yourself with (13) damage and you are weakened (You deal half damage, save ends)! You are now bloodied!

Grot begins his turn now after more goblins start running in from behind you. He casts a darker bolt at Weston!

"I'll make sure yer dead befo' I piss on yer corpse, ya bastard!"

The bolt flies in the shape of his own skull and (?) strikes Weston with almost perfect accuracy! He deals (7) damage! Lucky for you, its necrotic, so you resist it so he only deals (2) damage! He then runs up and, with an action point, bashes Weston with his own skull! (?) His skull hits you and deals (11) damage! Weston is at 4hp! You notice it hurts him when he strikes you with his head, but he fights on! Grot also takes 1 damage from the light!

Nadarr begins his turn! He positions himself so he hits Grot and not you and casts Burning Hands! He (CRITS) and deals a whopping (6+6+7+6) damage as well as dealing an extra (6) damage from his bracers ((good god, those rolls...)). Nadarr then looks at Grot before saying in a very distorted but firm voice.

"Goodbye, Grot" And breathes fire! (19+6) Nadarr hits, dealing (6+1) ((are you kidding me...)) damage and Grot collapses! The goblins approach and burn in Nadarr's staff's light before they can reach you.

((That was... A little underwhelming, but hey, it works))

There's a hallway in front of you. You watch as you look about hte room more that you notice Grot's chained skull disappears, showing his regular decapitated (adn rotting) head, and his body. You also notice one of the dead bodies to belong to that goblin back in Amn who carried that magic sword, but his skin is charred entirely. This does not show a good sign.

"Unless you know some trick to teleport one of the doors off its hinges, I think that's the only thing we can do."

Before we leave, Karl uses some of the treasure to 'write' out the following phrase "Karl and Cromwell were here. Left through back tunnel." facing the door, in case the others manage to open the door from the other side.

Start exploring back towards where we fought Symon, start looking for side passages.

After talking, you hear something like a familiar barking and then scratching against the adamantium vault doors. And then some talking that's very familiar, followed by the sound of A LOT of gold moving.

Thoradin looks puzzled at this.

"There's can't be anything living in there... Can they?

As for what's in there, there's some gear that we could use. Specifically, if I recall, a hammer of great strength that can assist us if that giant gets inside..."

Cromwell's eyes turn blue again as he follows you. You head back up and when entering the room again, something very important is missing. Symon is gone, but his flails remain there. You still don't dare try and grab them. Heading down the corridor again, Siga sniffing about, you're back at the wall again. Siga sniffs the wall but finds nothing (?) (?) and neither do you.
