Karl takes a deep breath and looks around carefully, listening to the sound of the chains. With no chance of proceeding with any sort of stealth, he lights a sunrod and hangs it from his belt before readying his sword and shield, using the sound of chains as his guide in this new section of the fortress.

We seem to be having the worst luck in this fortress eh Thoridin?
as isbat accepts the dwarfven ale and takes a few swigs then passes him some sake and returns him his ale
this is some interesting stuff youve been drinking also why do i get the odd feeling this has been happening alot?

You start to take off with Thoradin and Nimue. You go down the passageway to (?) the right. You wander around for a bit and Thoradin stops you after a couple minutes.

"Hold up! I think I heard something there! Come on!"

You both run up ahead and towards a massive intersection. Which way do you go? Thoradin says he can't hear the sounds anymore

You sit for a minute and hear the annoying clacking again. You see Karl light up a bright ass sunrod and attach it to his belt and start heading down the hall. You catch up to the impatient bastard and you proceed down the hall. Every now and then you hear the chain clack again, as if someone was bored out of their skull and the only thing to do was lift up and let a chain fall. They sound pretty bored. You advance into a larger room that is circular as well with spike pits surrounding the edges save the entrance to two doorways. One of them is where you and the hulk stand, and the other sits a lone figure in a meditative position with a familiar long white hair. You see a rabid grin run across his face as Symon stands with a heavy flail in each hand.

"The time has come... I'm going to enjoy killing you heathens... I have been given new life by Bahamut and I will use it to destroy you both... Then I'm going to revel in your death and use your hearts as sacrifices to the Platinum Dragon!"

His voice is that of a madman, and upon looking closer, his face is ridden with scars of blades. He laughs after his little speech and then begins swinging his flails. The momentum causes a loud screeching noise that seems to be tearing the ground apart as sparks fly from his flails scraping the ground. It is too loud for you to hear anything properly. Oh sh**...

You turn on your sunrod and ascend into the dark hall. You notice that as you go down, the sunrod does dim, but the area it affects is still large enough for you to see a good distance. Cromwell follows you as your weapons are at the ready, and you eventually come across a large circular room with spike pits lining the edges save at the doorways. You see a lone, white haired figure sit at the door opposite of you, that acknowledges you seeing him and responds with a rabid grin. Symon stands up, now with a heavily scarred and distorted face and two heavy flails, one in each hand. His fangs dominate his grin as he speaks.

You see Alexander and Thoradin continue down the hall, towards the right as Nimue perches herself on Alexander. He eventually comes to a crossroad after Thoradin says something.

He checks out the chute in the meantime after thrusting his staff up the chute a bit. Seeing it twist and turn, you doubt she could see it even if she was still in the area. As Nadarr pulls his staff out, you notice the chute close up, trapping you down here

You check out the cute, but with it being perfectly smooth and twisting, you doubt that you can climb up well, let alone see if Nimue can see your light.

After a few seconds, the chute seems to close itself, trapping you in

Karl grimaces as the flails cut off all speech and gestures for Cromwell to stay back. With the massive noise that Symon makes, Karl sees no point in talking to the fallen Avenger. Instead, he utters a prayer to the Raven Queen, and blesses his family's longsword.
