((Girlfriend falling off the truck takes precedence over everything else. Hope she's feeling better now!

Also, I had a question with my last PM, not sure if you had seen that.))

((Finally! Time to spill some blood!))

Nimue scouts the path they're taking and you beat them there by roughly 10 minutes time. The area is heavily forested with a few rocky outcrops. The sun is getting lower so vision is starting to get skewed, but luckily, Nimue spots they have torches so you'll know when they're coming.

You find a good ambush spot. Where does each party member go? Thyra hides behind a rocky outcrop with her bow readied.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

((Green marks cover. Everything but where Thyra is is enough cover to make stealth checks with when they arrive. The rocks Thyra is hiding under require an athletics check to climb over (~2 squares high) and you can attempt to climb any tree, but remember that you cannot take 10 on the roll; you have 10 minutes to get into position.

Lastly, the red arrow marks the place Nimue/Weston guesses they will be coming from))

Jee wilikers, I think Highmax is near invulnerable, must have been dunked in the river styx like achilles was.
Just make sure he wears a boot.

Karl will take cover in the cover in the  lower-right corner. Given he's covered in plate, he doesn't want to give away the party early by being nearest to the approaching group.

((I should also mention the party can ready an action and THEN begin the surprise round.

Thyra will gun down the guard closest to her when it arrives))

Nadarr uses his wings to try and fly into a tree. Taking great care not to make too much noise, and find a specific, well hidden branch. If his attempt fails, he will take cover behind the clump to the middle of the left side.

You find a sturdy branch and climb to the tree in the bottom left. Its creaking as you land, but it holds firm

Weston stands just behind the rock at 2 squares over, 11 squares down. He will fire off an Explosive Pyre after Thyra takes her shot, aiming for the largest concentration of enemies he can hit.

After Thyra takes her shot, Karl will charge the most dangerous-looking bandit at the front of the group with his Vanguard's shortsword and activate it's power. If possible, he'll Divine Challenge the same target.

Karl kneels in the shadows of a great tree, encased in his ebon plate from head to toe, shield ready on his arm, enchanted sword held behind the shield so that the glow of its runes would not give him away before his time. The dying sun splashed streaks of red through the forest, and he prayed silently, casting his prayers out to the Raven Queen on the dying light.

Raven Queen, I pray to You in consecration of my service to You...
In Your name, I am the shield on Your arm, defending those who's fate is not yet come...
In Your name, I am the blade in Your hand, bringing death to the deserving...
In Your name, let the ice of winter fill my veins, and I will fight with the fury of the northern blizzard...

Touching the crimson symbol of the Raven Queen, Karl continued his prayers. He could feel that these adventures were changing him. the healing lessons he had learned as an initiate felt further and further away each day, and each morning his armor was just a little bit easier to bear, a more natural part of him. He felt that the powers he called upon from the Raven Queen were changing as well, and he could only hope that these changes were a sign of Her approval and regard.

Sounds from ahead alerted him, and his lips stopped moving, torchlight bobbed in the deepening shadows in the distance, and he felt the icy coldness he had prayed for fill him. It was time.

Nadarr prepares to cast sleep on as many of them as possible, when they are all in range, with his Sleep combined with Enlarge spell. As they get closer, he bares his teeth. His breath comes in rapid hisses. He is ready.

Waiting on Cromwell and Symon to prepare.))

Symon will hide behind the cover opposite of Thyra, three down and two right from the top-left corner. If possible, he prepares his Oath of Enmity and Avenging Echo for use on the toughest bandit he can reach after moving. If not, just use Avenging Echo on that guy instead.

((That's... 35x35 feet, right? That's bigger than most peasant's cottages, you know. He could clear out an entire tavern with that spell. Though I guess that he doesn't need the spell to begin with...))
