Symon attempts to regain consciousness.

((Which is to say I'm twiddling my thumbs until someone heals me.))

Bark at the peddler

Who did this?

Then after receiving an answer, or lack thereof, run out and look for the perpetrator, ready for any surprise attack.

Bark at the peddler

Who did this?

Then after receiving an answer, or lack thereof, run out and look for the perpetrator, ready for any surprise attack.
The peddler says he saw him stumble out of an alleyway as the lad (Symon) saw blood on his hand from the dagger in his stomach and dropped to his knees. He said he didn't see anyone else leave the alleyway when he was there. He tells you where it was and you run out towards it and find the dead body of a woman with her throat slit open. She wasn't raped or robbed as you could tell, just killed. She seems very middle class, but nothing tells you much else about her.

Jee wilikers, I think Highmax is near invulnerable, must have been dunked in the river styx like achilles was.
Just make sure he wears a boot.

Search the woman for clues.

Discreetly pocket valuables.

Perhaps not discreetly; it is Nadarr, after all.

Try not vomit on them, or anything.
By accident.

Arcana check on the knife, see if it is cursed or something.

Examine the knife.
You rip the dagger out of his stomach and see the blade is miscolored where the blood is. (Nature check required)

Arcana check on the knife, see if it is cursed or something.
You take the dagger out of Cromwell's hands. It's not an arcana check, it's nature. And you see the blood is a little miscolored on the blade.

Search the woman for clues.

Discreetly pocket valuables.

Perhaps not discreetly; it is Nadarr, after all.

You discover a paper which tells you of items on a caravan list. However, some of the items seem rather... Illicit. Dragon bile, poisons, and other illegal items are on there. You assume she was a black market dealer. You find her coinpurse and take a quick look, seeing small, shiny stones and gold coins. Otherwise, nothing else is on her.
