I don't think Derm should get a DP, since it was a bad roll and not a dumb action that made him die.

Shoot down GWG with my AK47.

New Spell: Dance Fever - Makes target stop what they're doing and dance uncontrollably.

Because trying to stuff Fate/Whatever's engrish and the title of a 17th century book on statecraft into Pokemon syntax tends to make the content incomprehensible.

Well, to explain, I think I'm going to change it, and ultimately keep it like this: If you manage to kill yourself through no intervention of others, then a Darwin Point is yours.

Therefore if, say, 2Pac's Dance Fever spell was used as someone was crossing a narrow ledge, and fell off/died, then that would be a KP not a DP.

Plus, I doubt this will happen again very soon for Derm, as he now knows better than to attempt incredibly dangerous spells after a dry spell.

I concur.

Dive down at Tupac, absorbing the damage with my DR 20/magic and blasting him with fire!

Since I can already cast spells, can my reward be the confirmed ability to cast any spell in 3.5 D&D?

Don't.
+1

That would be a lot of spells, many of them horribly broken.

If it included third-party spells, it would be even worse.

Alright...D&D stands for Dungeons and Dragons. It has gone through a number of editions--Basic Dungeons and Dragons, AD&D, 2nd Edition, 3rd Edition, 3.5, 4th Edition, and most recently D&D Next. 3.5 is the edition I'm most familiar with.

Gold dragons, which I based my character on, are from Dungeons and Dragons. Hence why he has abilities similar to them.
Spells are things spellcasters like wizards, clerics, bards, and druids cast. So do some monsters, including dragons. (Many more monsters--also including dragons--have "spell-like abilities," which work like spells except without the gestures and material components and stuff.)

My character's passive ability of I Am A Dragon includes the vague "uses magic" clause to cover the spells, spell-like abilities, and such dragons have. I was suggesting combining this with the new ability to formalize the general assumption that I would be able to cast any spell from 3.5 (within reason--I have no intention of spamming wish and miracle and power word kill. Or even using them, if no one else is bending the rules in their favor).

If it included third-party spells, it would be even worse.
Oh come on. What do you take me for?

Maybe just choose a non-third-party spell.

And it gets, like, a +1 to succeeding. Because for a magic user you didn't give yourself any bonuses to magic. So it could be helpful. Especially with the dry spell with magic lately.

I feel like GWG might've missed the whole 'within reason' bit. :P
