((Sorry about that.))

Visit the president, wait for visions to recur.

Check if the president is busy, if not then report the Empress's happenings, and the bit about me being her new liaison.
"Eh, Mister President. I think this may interest you..."

Tap the sleeping woman until she becomes awake. Shush her if she makes any noise, and speak quietly.

"Ms., I hope that you do not mind if I sleep here for tonight. I do not know if my own home survived the bombardment, I'm afraid. I will be out of here in the morning, and promise to take nothing during my stay should you permit me to remain."

Rush outside to Danielle

"Hey, This isn't a normal dream, right? Could you tell me everything you can before we run out of time?"

I think that I'm not included in this dream sequence, so I resume my regularly scheduled sleep.

Rush outside to Danielle
"Hey, This isn't a normal dream, right? Could you tell me everything you can before we run out of time?"
Danielle looks up as you run to her. Now that you see her face, she seems really tired, and her hair is in a light frizz. Her eyes light up a bit once she sees you, though.
"Oh, hi again. No, we should have more time than before, since this is normal sleep. Well, the Medium doesn't run on the same time as your dimension, but I think you get the point." She raises her arms up and spins in a slow circle while talking to you. "So, I decided to do a little to make this place look better than an empty void with a volcano. Now it's a flower-filled meadow inside of a forest... with a volcano. This is one of the things we can do as Mediums." She pauses for a moment, looking up at the sky. "So, I saw that you had a cabin mate who's rooming with you for the night. Apparently he's dreaming on a frequency that is an inverse to yours... but I can change that. Would you like to invite him here too? Keep in mind that it takes a lot of energy to invert his frequency, so you have to choose a good time to bring him in. Other than that, I'm open for any question that I'm okay to answer right now."
She waits for your answer, folding her arms in front of her.

"Well, um, do you mind giving me a primer on what I can do and how to make it happen?"
She raises her eyebrows to your question. "I wasn't expecting you to skip over the exposition, but whatever." She shrugs while saying this, and starts walking around in a lazy circle, flicking one hand up gently. In the air directly above the two of you is a slowly spinning circle of holographic symbols - eleven of them in total. Ten of the lie in the outer portion of the circle, and are made up of different colors - red, yellow, green, blue, white, teal, maroon, amber, and so on. The eleventh symbol - a lavender, hollow circle - floats in the center of the circle. Danielle points up to the spinning circle of odd symbols. "This was one of the two goals of the generations of Mediums and Guardians before you. This is the Unification path. If you chose to do this, you would have to convince all of the Guardians to come together and fight under your flag against whomever the Catalyst of this world is. This is harder to do than it looks, considering that half of the Guardians are polar opposites of the other half." She raises both arms again and balls her hands into fists. The ten symbols circling the lavender one all vaporize, transforming the lavender circle into a larger version with a rainbow of colors fading in and out of it. "The other main path is Destruction. With this... you must kill all of the other Guardians or have all of the Guardians kill each other, taking their power for yourself. Enough power to challenge the Catalyst on your own. Of course, this is also difficult, considering that you're fighting against ten others who are possibly more powerful than you." She gestures around in the air, forming the ten symbols again along with the lavender one. This time, however, the symbols float freely, some crashing into the other symbols and creating sparks of light. "Of course, you could also kill only some of the Guardians and unify some of the others. This has been done before, but it's more chaotic than simple Destruction or Unification." Finally, she brings her hands down, completely dissipating all of the floating symbols.
Danielle looks towards you again and sighs. "Assuming whoever runs this game hasn't changed the rules, that's what you're aiming for. But in the short term, I'd recommend you stay alive... and find other people. Believe me, opportunities will come. The magical deity who hosts these Mediums makes sure of that. I will help you in controlling the Medium, but for now, you must find out what your powers as a Guardian are. Though, considering that I am here, the rules may very well have been replaced completely." She says this with a hint of curiosity in her voice, as if she is contemplating this herself.

"I'm skipping ahead because we may not have time. You thought we had time last time too. Now then, my powers as a Guardian. How do I manage that?"

"I'm skipping ahead because we may not have time. You thought we had time last time too. Now then, my powers as a Guardian. How do I manage that?"
She rubs the back of her neck, as if she can't stress enough that she is tired. "About that, someone was interfering with the Medium. No one has that power except for other Mediums, maybe the Catalysts, and one certain Guardian. Maybe some higher-up power doesn't like my talks with you." She yawns and tries to cover it with her forearm. "It takes some energy to create a landscape in the Medium like this. Whatever, it's better than a single volcano in a black void. Now, on to your powers. Let me give you a couple terms that some of the older dork Guardians made up: your Affinity and your Domain. Your Domain is the environment or concept that you, as a Guardian, protect from the Shadow. It's a basic necessity of life that all of us have. There are eleven of them. Hence, eleven symbols. The Affinity is a specific concept, object, or creature that you also represent. This could pretty much be anything, so I won't bother guessing that for you." She stretches for some time and brushes some hair back before continuing her monologue. "I can't really say what your Domain is yet - I haven't seen enough of your powers. When the opportunity presents itself, your powers will start showing themselves. Once you pick up on whatever your Domain is, you should be able to grow with your powers pretty easily. To be honest, though, I don't have much experience with Domains and Affinities. Never my cup of tea."

"Anything in particular I should look for? And is there anything else important you need to tell me? Or shall I start asking you to fill in the stuff we skipped over?"

((Okay, I'll be pretty freed up this week, so I urge the three that still need to post [USEC, Puffer, and Darkpaladin] to do so soon. That way, I'll be able to pick up the pace on GM'ing this a bit more. Thank you!))
