Err... No? It's something completely different. I'm not sure what gave you the idea that it's a reskinned King of Dragon Pass, given how the events are non-randomized, the focus on building up a single character, and the lack of... Pretty much everything that made KoDP what it is.

Aye. These two games have very little in common besides that they are both turn-based and are simulations.

Two actions per turn to increase your stats, events with several textual choices with results depending on stat checks, graphics purely decorative, factional standing with other characters based on past behavior, general narrative arc... Other than the fact that the events are always the same, this is KoDP for girls.

That is like saying that Halo is a reskinned Call of Duty because they both have first person views and you fire guns at enemies. Yes KoDP and Expendable Princess I can't remember the game's actual name have several similarities, because they're in the same video game genre. Not because they're reskinned versions of each other.

Indeed, I'd compare Long Live The Queen to a visual novel version of Princess Maker before KoDP.  Raising an individual within a strict time limit, limited actions per turn to increase your stats, events with contextual choices and consequences reliant on stat checks...

((But speaking of reskinned FPS games, I do seem to recall an awful lot of games being referred to as "Doom clones" back in the day...))

I'm resisting the urge to go full blown essay mode on this topic because it's interesting to compare the two games. But I shall restrain myself with ropes.

KoDP is rather unique game, so I would have trouble comparing any game to it. But, Hidden Agenda is probably the very closest example of a game that I can think of to KoDP. HA and KoDP share many more similarities than LLtQ and KoDP.
