It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Why the seemingly random desire for dogs?

Right now we are geared for magic and intrigue, and its worth continuing putting points in both of them I think. Cipher and Wield magic.

Once we"ve got the intrigue costume, I think we should focus on information gathering for a bit - foreign intelligence, internal affairs, and sense magic.

We have already failed, what, two sense magic checks? I have a sneaking suspicion that knowing when we're supposed to wield/resist magic is going to depend first on figuring out what magic is what happening - all of our abilities we've learned seem to be active rather than passive, after all!

Why the seemingly random desire for dogs?

Because spoiler reasons. I know them well myself, so of course I have to agree:

Ciphering + Wield Magic :P

See, even stating that there are spoiler reasons is a spoiler.

There are spoiler reasons? Can I change my vote? I will not be lumped in with the false oracles.
