Oh, brilliant, there's other survivors. Listen, I'm out near [TOWNNAME], I'm a holidayer from Britain. I'm in a bit of a pickle, as you may guess! All I've got is a frying pan and a tent, and some bandages. Pretty sorry situation all-told! I wonder why there isn't any food or supplies. The town appears abandoned... why aren't they supplying gasmasks? Anyway, I'm glad to hear there's people out there.

Anyway, Amelia, I'm a doctor too. I'll see if I can't find a radio tower nearby and help you out a bit. Good luck!

Look for a radio tower on the horizon, and try to match up the coordinates with the current coordinates of myself. Perhaps smash up a bench and take the 2x4s to set aflame as a signaling agent.

>Good, people are still alive. I'm Clair Apple, the Local Sheriff of [not this town]. Everyone should remember where their shelter is, as it the only reliable way for us to talk at the moment. I'm going to head for the gun store so if you don't hear from me again in a day, that were my body is.

Find the gas mask and head for the gun store

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

Well it's time to do what every cataclysm player does after spawning:

Go outside, grab a rock, smash a bench, craft nail board

Then I will conquer the world.
((Pff, too cheesy now. Cataclysm is partly bound by what mechanics bind it. Cataclysm RTD is free to creativity! :I))

...Perfect. So there are other people..and some are still playing around! How..mature. Ugh.
Or we're talking to bandits who're crazy enough to shout BOOZE on a public emergency service line.

Anyway, Amelia, I'm a doctor too. I'll see if I can't find a radio tower nearby and help you out a bit. Good luck!
Great to hear from friendly faces! It seems we're very separated from here, though. Will be gone from hereon out until I get the radio to work.

Alright, basic electronics. How does a radio tower work. Presumably that place would have wire fencing or some kind of protection..
*checks map*
At least they left these maps instead of gas masks. Unsure why I'd need that thing if not for the activated charcoal.
Alright, le'see here. pink-ish areas may be the local bars or restaurants..anything related to food. Dark green equals the local grocery. Green areas are housing. We've a 'S'ubway station, and an electronics store due to their signs being lit in neon yellow..and clothing stores in their fashionable teal. Then the sport goods areas in light blue.

..So I guess I may be the only survivor in my town, huh. Dad, Ma, I hope you're ok back home.
...
I need something to keep those..things...away from me. A pole doesn't seem to be long enough, though I bet I can strike at their knees for greater efficiency..Hm.

Roll for crafting!
Try to craft anything I could to make something akin to a pole-a long pole, to keep or push any object away.

Then, if possible, begin exploring the outside, starting with the nearest house-check if there are any walls I can hide behind while making my way towards the radio tower.

>Good, people are still alive. I'm Clair Apple, the Local Sheriff of [not this town]. Everyone should remember where their shelter is, as it the only reliable way for us to talk at the moment. I'm going to head for the gun store so if you don't hear from me again in a day, that were my body is.
...And the law enforcement is still thriving. That's good! But..I don't think announcing where we're heading is a better idea too..but it also gives an example of-
Amelia talked the thoughts over to herself as she proceeded in her work.

Pff, I always get a pipe. Best to-hit to start.

Anyway.

Pull a curtain down from a window, sharpen the stick with my pocket knife and cut up the rags to make bandages later.

On the communicator:

I see an apartment complex and two banks. I must be in the middle of a town; I'm getting out ASAP. My name is Jackson. I will know you're alive if you call me by name. I'm armed, but I do not want to hurt you. Be safe.

Hey there Jackson-hopefully you saw my message earlier? Despite the lack of concrete coordinates, me thinking that we can all hear each other equals a close proximity of emergency shelters. A mile or two apart or something like that?

Glad to see others alive!

Scratch my head pensively. Maintaining caution, start typing.

>Har har, I thought it was one of them... Binoculars? Things they told me 'bout, the one where you type stuff in an' computer elves find it for you. Name's Caleb Wright. I'm in one o' them shelters near [town name], to northwest. I know how to live of the land, fellow survivors are welcome. Any commie nazi bastards will be shot, though.

Move the pile outdoors to a safe distance from the shelter. Look for a bunch of stones near the shelter.

Gather up my bandages, spray paint and water, move south, away from the houses for now.

I'm leaving now, folks. I'm heading south. I was an out of state student so I don't know the place well. Stay away from the center of towns. They're the most dangerous. Stay safe, stay alive. Wish me luck.

James was curious as all heck about that thing to the north - his naturalist senses were most definitely tingling!

The "shelter" is a complete joke though - it's clear they never intended anyone to actually us it. Bloody hell.

The town's a mess, if it's anything like he left it, there's some mysterious thing to the north, so...

Head south. Keep to the open fields so I can spot any potential risks at a distance. Look for a decent rock to use as a basic weapon, just in case. Try to find anything interesting.

TURN FOUR:Baby steps.

Time:8:30 AM
First day of Spring

Michel Van Maximberg(Sheb)

You run and...(11+1+1-1v10) smash through the window! You then roll through, and throw your spam at what appears to be a person!(15+1+1-1v11+1-1) and hit hit in the chest, with a bit of force! That's got to hurt. You take a look at your target. Looks like some kind of hunter, wearing a gas mask.

(Tin can of spam removed from inventory. It is now on the shelter floor.)
Spoiler: Stats (click to show/hide)

Harvey Sam Bekter(Patrick Hunt)

You put on your gas mask. A little hard to breath through, but it makes you look like a badass. You walk upstairs, and as you are halfway through the room, someone, or something, bursts through the window, and throws a can at you! It hits you in the chest, hard. Thats gonna leave a mark. Probably a bruise. You drop into a fighting position, and take a moment to examine your opponent. Shirtless, wearing some jeans, and shoeless. Glasses too. What the hell.

Spoiler: Stats (click to show/hide)

Roger Samuel Hendrickson(Tomcost)

You walk outside to grab a rock, with the idea for a improvised weapon forming in your mind. You quicly locate a rock, big enough to fin in your hand. You then go inside, and try to break a bench apart(1 ITS OUR FIRST EPIC FAIL LADIES AND GENTS!) You bring the rock down on the bench, but instead of smashing it, you smash your fingers, which you put beneath the rock! OW.

Spoiler: Stats (click to show/hide)

Jackson "Chameleon" Connors(Pufferfish)

You gather up all the supplies. Then you decide to move south. You can see a few things. Mostly, there are 2 different towns to the left and to the right. While you are walking, however, you stumble upon a(Luck:20, 1) smoldering wreckage of a helicopter. Looks like there may be stuff around it.

(Map updated)

Spoiler: Stats (click to show/hide)

Amelia Terin(Tiruin)

You search around the shelter for something that appears to be pole like. (20!) You have a sudden flash of inspiration. Curtain poles. Nails. Lockers. Rope. You are a blur of crafting energy. First, you take down 6 curtain poles, and lash them together into 2 bundles of 3. Then, you lash the bundles together, creating one long pole. You sharpen the front of it, and stick nails through the tips. Then, you grab a locker door RIGHT off of its hinges, and impale it onto the front of your super spear. You now have a long spear that you can use to attack enemies 2 tiles away! Also, it gives a +3 to blocking while being wielded, since the large locker door on the front stops you from being hit easily. It shall be known as a speardoor.

1 meter of rope expended. Shelter no longer has curtains.

Spoiler: Stats (click to show/hide)

Caleb Wright(Scrdest)

You move the pile easily outdoors. You also manage to locate some nice sized rocks, and line them up around it.

Spoiler: Stats (click to show/hide)

James Donoghue(GlyphGryph)

You head south. The things you saw out the window come into focus. One looks like some kind of tower. An office tower maybe? And the other one looks like a bunker. You manage, also, to spot what looks like a evac shelter.

You also grab a nice rock along the way.

(Map updated)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Claire Apple(Scapheap)

You walk down the road, and then take a right, and ZOMBIES! 3 of them, in the street. And it looks like they spotted you!

Spoiler: Stats (click to show/hide)

Michael Leary(Fniff)

You look out the windows, and to the east you can see a radio tower that matches the desctiption of the one that she described. Hmm.

You could probably break apart the benches if you had something to hit them with.

Spoiler: Stats. (click to show/hide)

Sorry, this one was slightly rushed. Anyways, anyone have any suggestions as to what I should add or fix up?

"Amelia, I think I see your tower! I'm going over there, see if I can't find a way to broadcast there, maybe set up a signal! Wish me luck!"
Hrm. Better secure this place before I leave. Get a rock from outside and smash up the benches, then see if there's any particularly sharp pieces. Then, use the nails and the hammer to make a nice little barricade on the doors, then close the curtains. Remember the three S's. Security, Safety, and Sanctuary. Wait, those are essentially all the same thing. Okay, just make sure nothing can get inside the doors unless they're human and able to think. Make sure they're easily removable from the inside as well. Don't wanna end up locking myself in!

Search for some more rocks then try to knap a stone blade with it.

Check for anything to carry more things. Drop pouches, vests, coats. Backpacks. Then see if there's a rifle or a handgun, military ID, or water.

Then move on.
