I'll be able to star the turn on Thursday night (that day I'll finish my exams).

If you don't mind waiting a bit, of course.

Dwarf Fortress doesn't mean to do it... I just can't behave sometimes so it has to correct me.
Wait, there's a player list?

That's fine, though we should keep this thread active in the meantime. What's everyone's plan for defeating the husk menace?

Well, another horse got husked during Zlob's reign, but he was in the middle of setting up a husk smasher. Assuming that we can get the two dueling horse husks inside.

There, FTFY.

I planned on leaving them alone while building a certain project.
The husk menace can wait until we have  !!MAGMA!!, cause and solution of all problems in life.

Well, another horse got husked during Zlob's reign...
Sorry! It must have been a lazy, sluggishly slow migrant's pet, who didn't care even for civilian alert. Or elven mount.
Assuming that we can get the two dueling horse husks inside.
From what I know, husks are slow. We can try to bait them with our evergrowing military. It could be like that:
A 1-person squad is sent to attack them. A civilian alert is set active. When husks start to slowly move towards the dwarf, cancel his attack order, make his squad inactive. He should run towards the closest burrow included in civilian alert settings.
m + a to check, set and customise alerts. I already made 1, though it is named confusingly, as it blocks caverns as well.

I've just woken up. I'll play some more after I come back home from classes. I expect to finish my turn by Sunday.

Ok, I don't know what happened, but everytime I try to load the save again, DF crashes. I'll try to download the save again and see if this time it doesn't get corrupted. That might make things go slower than I thought. Sorry.

I've downloaded the file again and no results. I'm going to download a new copy of DF, but I suggest you skip me and put me again at the end of the queue, because I don't know if it will work.

I'll give you until tomorrow to see if you can get it to work.

Each time I save and then load it, DF crashes. Just skip me for now.  :'(
