Update: You must bear with me, I just built a completely awesome new computer and I must transfer the DF copy to the new computer. I'll have my update within the next four hours.

Also, did Bay 12 go down for anyone else too?

Artifact war hammer? Nice. So it turns out that I can, in fact, unequip the copper one? Or did you just get me to dual wield somehow?

No, you unequipped it. "Attaching" to items only works if the uniform allows for it, say, individual preferred melee or any type war hammer. I deleted "indiv pref melee" and replaced it with the selected war hammer.

I would use DFFD but it's being stupid and not letting me validate my email.

Oh, that's how attachment works. I always manually assign specific weapons to my soldiers, so I never have problems with trying to give them new ones.

My turn shall begin tomorrow, as I am still finishing Volcanic Musical Chairs.

This is about the first half of the year.


Well, at the very beginning of my reign, another weaponsmith had a fey mood! This one made a copper crossbow.
To better train myself and Mask, I have decided to spar for a while without a weapon. Hopefully, this will help us if we are ever disarmed in battle.
Two dwarves died of thirst in hospital because of lack of a water source. I immediately demanded that the caverns, which were discovered but not mined into, be breached.
The dining hall was just finished, as were the statue gardens in the centre. Also, the current Greek cross bedrooms have been filled, and another section has been designated to provide housing for the booming population, now numbering 83 in all.
That’s odd. A migrant arrived today, and he described his skills as “rusty”. All of them. Including talking. What?
As part of the unarmed training program, me and Mask tried to kill a camel with just our shields. I figured headshots would be the most efficient way, but it still took ages to kill. I'll make sure to grab my artifact hammer next time a real enemy comes by.
A Giant Cave Spider has breached our defenses! The cage traps closing off the caverns had been filled, and the spider took advantage of the temporary lapse to run up the stairs. It nearly reached the dining room before the archers arrived to slow it down. If it had reached the meeting hall, it would have been carnage. Virtually every dwarf in the fort would have been webbed and helpless with a venomous monster rampaging around them.

A. I have no idea, they were already resting when I was looking around before unpause. B. Troglodytes. They were like a dozen of them.

On another note, we have only breached the first cavern level, but somehow a blind cave ogre was caught in the traps. I thought those were third level only?

Okay, OOC, DarkArtemis, care to exain how two of our dwarfs got injured? I think one of hem may have been my fault, actually. Was one of them a ranger?

One of them was indeed the ranger. The only injury. I viewed on my part was yet another injury to the ranger. Other than the wrestler death, I didn't see anyone else get hurt.
