"Well now. Yesterday, I had a pretty crap day. Attacked by madmen, had to run for my life, all sorts of bad mojo. End of the world baby, you know how it goes. And today, well today certainly didn't start of with rainbows and unicorns either. Yet, as the day progressed, I kept having the feeling everything just started going... slower than the day before. Like when you wait at a doctor's office and it just goes on forever.
And not just because I was pumpin' adrenaline and kicking ass the day before. It really felt as if time itself was actually running down. I didn't notice it all that much in the beginning, but then that guy showed up.
Sam, was his name? Whatever it was, since he and the rest of you showed up, well, that was when everything started going at a snail's pace. What felt like minutes were only seconds, my watch told me, and what seemed like weeks and weeks was only an hour.
It was as if time itself was grinding to a halt. And just like how all of you instinctively knew that what you dreamed was the truth, I just knew that guy over here was at least partially responsible for it.
And I knew that, if I didn't do something very fast, then time would finally grind to a halt and we would be stuck here. We'd be trapped in infinite limbo, in the imperceptible timelessness between seconds, never moving on.
And I would honestly rather be gunned down right here right now than suffer that fate.
If I die, then at least I'll find closure, and maybe my soul can move on.
I harbor no harmful intent to any of you. Hell, it seems that the second this guy died, time sprang into high gear again! I may have just saved all our lives! And as long as whatever was just happening doesn't occur again, I wouldn't dream of harming any of you. I mean, why would I?
So, what's it gonna be boys? We gonna move on with our lives now, or are we gonna go all soap drama here?"
