The Squad assembles within the staging ground of the barracks upon the forest moon of endor, the facility of which has been plagued by the despicable natives; The EWOKS. Your lieutenant has ordered you onto the staging area to await his arrival. He intends to give his orders in person, thus the rare opening of free time allows the assembled troopers to talk amongst one another while they waited....

"Greetings, everyone. My name is Jevan, my designation is 6824. How is everyone?"

A stormtrooper leans against the wall almost relaxedly, but somewhat jittery motions give her away as being either scared (for a stormtrooper unlikely), or too excited.
"JG-0482, Caiteriona. And, well, I'm quite ready to do this op."

0777 polishes his rifle as the fellow, Jevan by the sounds of it, followed by JG-0482 or Caiteriona as she apparently prefers to be called though 0777 couldn't quite understand why they'd want to go by anything other than the designations the Empire deemed to give them. Scrubbing at a few invisible spots on the gun's barrel he replies,

"Designation 0777, position predominantly sniper."

"2786. Also a sniper by training." The clone trooper went back to staring at his helmet for a few moments, which he was currently holding between his hands. After awhile he looked up at 6824. "Well. I'm doing well." He went back to looking at his helmet.

[Blade Master Model 42]

"0219." Said another trooper, helmet on, standing at ease with his blaster rifle in his hands. "...Apparently we're on pest control?"

"'s what I heard."

Markus sits, cross-legged, Carbine in his lap. Meditating helped him focus for a battle. Even if everyone else thought he was just being a dick and trying to show off. He got distracted easily otherwise...

"I am Markus, designated DX-9422."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"...Natives." 2786 let out a snort of derision. "I miss the days of the challenging battles. The wars twenty years ago. Stamping out the rebel forces when that was just beginning. The best I can say for these creatures is that they'll make good target practice until we get a better assignment." He put his helmet on and stood, picking up his sniper rifle. "How long do you think it will be until the lieutenant arrives?"

"How many missions have you gone on, Cait? I've been on a few. Each one had someone who was so certain they were ready. He was usually one of the first to get killed or maimed."

"0219." Said another trooper, helmet on, standing at ease with his blaster rifle in his hands. "...Apparently we're on pest control?"

"Mammalian bug hunt from the sound of it. Another thing I can cross off of my inverse bucket list."

"...Natives." 2786 let out a snort of derision. "I miss the days of the challenging battles. The wars twenty years ago. Stamping out the rebel forces when that was just beginning. The best I can say for these creatures is that they'll make good target practice until we get a better assignment." He put his helmet on and stood, picking up his sniper rifle. "How long do you think it will be until the lieutenant arrives?"

"Two things you won't regret waiting for: A more dangerous mission, and the CO. Incidentally, I give you two, three days before the target practice turns the table on you. Tempting fate and all that."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"These hairs are gray for a reason, kid." 2786 leaned back against the wall and gave his rifle a once-over. "I only have so much time left to me and I'd rather spend it under enemy fire than standing around."

[GreatWyrmGold]

"What do you think these Ewokes are? Natives. I'd bet...anything the Empire doesn't own of ours that these guys have bows or slings or something. I'd bet on the outcomes, but it's hard to collect from a dead man so it would be an idiot bet for me."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Doesn't matter what they have. What matters is that I'm in here, wasting time, when I could be out there, being useful. Doesn't matter what or who I'm fighting as long as I'm out there." The old clone turned to look at Jevan again. "So, where are you from? You look and sound too young to be from Kamino."

[Patrick Hunt]

Dar'Manda looked up briefly at the mention of Kamino keeping his helmet on and laughed before going back to checking his rifle.

None of you know a thing about Kamino. You weren't there.

Caiteriona groaned at Jevan's query. "Un-kriffing-fortunately, this'll be my first real mission. They kept sticking me on guard duty or stuff for the most safe locations. However... Your strangely depressive mood aside, this is probably a better first combat assignment than most."
