Portable forge could simply mean it's on a wagon.

Ah, yeah, that could be a problem. Anti-magic field would probably be better.

So what's the general setting like, Remuthra? High magic, low magic, high dickish trapmakers, low dickish trapmakers? How commonly will we be on land?
Fair magic, considerably higher with the elves. Mages are pretty rare, but common enough to be a consideration. The technology level is around the Age of Sail. People like traps, but the really bad ones will only be in the ancient somethings of something. You're in the middle of a huge ocean with no other known landmasses between there and the continents bordering it. Once you get to one of said continents, you'll be on land a lot more.

Also, people who want to travel the Realm of Fog use really big ships as a rule, because you need a lot of supplies to traverse half an ocean in a single stage.

Could use a few more populated island chains, atleast near the two continents.

Why do you think the Broken Isles are so important? There's nowhere else to go as of yet significantly far inward.

Eh, I'm not going to bother with half-dragon.
One dice step of claw damage (that I won't be able to use with weapons), a 1d6 bite natural attack, +3 natural armour, water breathing, a once-a-day breath weapon that doesn't scale, +6 STR and +2 int are just not worth the +2 level adjustment and loss of the +2 racial bonus on Intimidate checks and Spot checks from taking Half-Dragon instead of Draconic instead.
Twas a +3 LA, actually.
I was comparing Half-Dragon to Draconic.

So, I think I'll make a Dragonborn Raptoran Scout.

Well, okay, I'll make a Dragonborn Raptoran Scout if I can make a full attack whilst gliding in the same turn.

Otherwise, I'll present a variant Water Orc race and be a Crusader, I think. A Lawful Neutral or Lawful Good one.

Oh, do we have a party face? I can't believe I never asked that.

...Aha! Darfellan Healer/Party Face! That will be what I am!

Probably one of those Complete Divine spontaneous divine casters.

Hrmm... I may have to re-think my character. Lots of heavily optimized stuff means my cute little Pirate Captain with a bad-ass pet and transformation powers will just get caught in the crossfire between optimized characters and the monsters the GM must spawn to check them.

Tar linked me a ranger variant that gets wild shape in place of combat style. I think I'll go with that if the GM dosn't mind mind. http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/UA:Ranger_Variant

I'd have to swap a skill for Appraisal, again using 'Raised in Rickshaw among pirates and merchant sailors' as a justification.

Also, is there a big list of avaible animal Companions somewhere? If I go ranger, I wont be able to get the Crocodile I wanted because rangers only get half their level towards animals. I need a plan 'B' if I go this route.

Compared to me. I more or less just looked at Tar's sheet and kinda freaked at the numbers.

Ok, this thread is advancing way too fast for me to follow, I'm dropping out.

They always move fast during early character creation. Its just people begging the GM/each other for answers/fudge, and side conversation that results from said begging. It will move at a sane pace when the game starts.

I have three questions:
Is there still room for players in this game?
Is there still room for crew on Weirdsound's Pirate ship?
Can I play the UA Thug Fighter Variant seen here?

If yes to one, then yes to two. But Tar is already a fighter, and Dread Pirate has some sneak attack powers. Scriver seems to be building a swashbuckler as well.

I'm likely changing the theme, motivation behind the ship, assuming GM approves the Ranger Variant with Shape Shifting. The backstory I gave don't make much sense if I'm not a druid. I shot a PM to Tar and Scriver proposing that our motivation be a common hatred of the nationalistic elves mentioned in the OP. Tar is a Drow, and I was thinking of re-writing my backstory to include a good reason to hate the tree huggers if I can go ranger.

Also, if Tar is starting as part of the crew, can he make us items at character creation if we give over the monies?
