I forget, what's a Brujah? My knowledge of that fictional universe comes from New World of Darkness and I can't remember a clan called the Brujah.

I dunno much either, the last WoD book I read was the Hunter: the Reckoning core book in... 2003, 2004?  ^^^; Judging from their description and how the game portrays a few of them they're mainly political radicals - anarchists, one's a communist, that sort of thing. They have basically the best out-of-the-gate combat stats.

Ah, I remember now. I think you mean the Gangrel though; they're the psycho-close-combat dudes and the Brujah is a faction, not a bloodline.

I haven't played V:tM Redemption, so I dunno about that one, but I will say Bloodlines with the Clan Mod 3.0 and the fix for that is quite good. Kind of experiencing Elder Scrolls syndrome though, where I make a guy and get like 25% into it then I'm like 'I wanna try out a different clan and maybe a different build' and yeah. :P If you do get it I would recommend anything except a Malkavian or a Nosferatu to start with. Reason is the Malkavians know the plot and will give it away if you're paying enough attention, and I don't really like the way they talk. I mean, it can be interesting at times, but usually it just seems kinda awkward and stilted to me. As for the other, the Nosferatu don't have access to one of the three dialogue skills (Seduction, specifically, which is actually somewhat useful to have as then at the very least you can talk people into letting you drink their blood without racking up Masquerade Violations) as well as being mostly restricted to the sewers and having to do some quests differently because they're ugly as hell.

Really I think the game assumes you're playing a Brujah the first time through, although I went Toreador initially... and am also currently running a Malkavian and a Nosferatu at the same time for reasons I don't know. :P
OH GOD, OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THAT THING WITH SKYRIM TOO?! I thought I was the only one!

Honestly, I only play on the PC, not that it's the best, the furthest I got was a Mage after I installed about a billion mods to make the armour and summoning spells better and get more spells.

I lost interest a ways through however, I've played altogether 74 hours, terraria? 114 hours, massive difference, I watched a guy play VM B and I'm thinking of getting it.

Edit: wait, dead rising 3? Oh yhea, I saw a review and the only thing COD about it is the coulor palette, everything else, (part from the story, Jesus Christ.) it plays pretty much the same.

I hate the air strikes however.

@Gamerlord: Bloodlines treats them as a thing separate from the Gangrel, though. Gangrel might be pretty cool to play as, haven't given them a shot yet. Same with the Tremere.

@E/D: Yeah, I know, it's terrible. XD It happens to me every game in which there's a lot of starting options. I only beat Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim once each despite having like seven hundred characters across the three of them. :P I've got about 100 hours in Terraria myself and I got V:tMB for pretty much that reason - I wanted to see what the game was like for non-Malkavian characters since like every LP is a Malkavian. :P It's good buy though if you ask me. As for which is best, eh. I kind of want to just get an actual gaming PC. PS4/XB1 are just not impressing me and I don't really care about any of the launch titles for either. I'm having way more fun with indies (Terraria) and older games (V:tMB) than I have been with a console recently. I haven't even turned on my 360 in like a month. >.>

Same with my Playstation, haven't used it for about a month, I wonder where did some people get the stereotype of everyone being so patriotic about their consoles but in any case.

I'm the type of person who can't finish anything which is a. Too long or B. I get distracted by a moth flying by.

Speaking of, If you want a good short indie stealth game mark of the ninja will cater to it, it is 2D but that didn't deter me really, great art style as well.

Speaking of, would you suggest oblivion? I liked skyrim (didn't finish it, obiously.) and I want to see what the past versions would be.
Speaking of, before I dive into VM B what are all the certain types of vampires like?

That reminds me, I'm shifting across to Playstation 4 instead of upgrading to Xbox 1. I've sincerely had enough of Microsoft and their bullshit.

@E/D: Oblivion? Mmm, not really. It's not as good as Morrowind or Skyrim because it's not as pick-up-and-play as Skyrim (by which I mean no need to pay close attention to how you level your skills for maximum stat gain, things like that) and it's not as complex or as interesting as Morrowind (less variety of everything in general, smaller game-world, less flexibility in modding in new quests, etc.). Kind of the same with Saint's Row 3. SR2 was perfect, SR4 is hilarious and over the top, and SR3 is just kind of in the middle of the two and so not as good as either. I mean if it's on sale go for it, but otherwise I wouldn't bother with Oblivion.

EDIT: Oh yeah, clans.

Brujah: Political activists, no real downsides that I can recall, pretty good at combat.
Gangrel: Sort of wolfish, really strong when Frenzying, fall into Frenzy easier than other clans
Malkavian: Insane, can use powers of insanity against others, kind of weird though
Nosferatu: Stealthy, rats don't run from them so they can feed from them easier and a certain background lets them get more blood from bums/prostitutes, ugly (which has a lot of effects, for once)
Toreador: Closest to human, no real upside or downside
Tremere: Magicians, have access to Thaumaturgy Discipline, have a cap of 3 on the the three physical stats
Ventrue: Nobility, can Dominate people in conversations, can't feed from rats/bums/prostitutes

More to it then that but that's just a quick who they are, upside, downside deal.

@Derm: Don't stress so much, dude. If you'd like, you can just turn off notifications for this thread and I can PM you every time there's a turn. As far as I know there's no 'just faff about and discuss whatever while waiting for the remaining player to post in your RTD' thread in General anyway. :P

@GL: While I strongly agree with that last sentence, let's not discuss which console is the superior one here. :P No need for arguments to start over it.

The only reason I would get the PS4 is for those two games, knack and infamous:two sons, I'm suprisingly long forward to those games, if nothing else, *sigh* I wonder what happened to those days when the normal running thing would be on rocket skates and you're among from a pistol would ping a bulls eye from a mile away.

Those where good days

Oh yhea, SR3 was my introduction into the series and was first when I started hating my genomes but I liked it, I got SR4 and I loved it, too bad it wasted its memory on car mechanics and stuff, we don't need those things when we can have super speed and fly!

Speaking of, I think I might get SR2 and now on your word, morrowind.

Just a word of warning that both games are A LOT different from their more modern counterparts. Saint's Row 2, while it has some ridiculous moments, is a lot more serious and grounded in reality, but still very good IMO. I certainly liked the plot the best of the three I played (I've been watching an LP of 4 and I really want to get it, but I might wait for a GOTY edition for that). Morrowind, graphically, hasn't held up very well (it was on the original Xbox >.>) but if you can get used to the percentage chance to hit enemies (or just do what I did and get/make a mod to up the Warrior sign's bonus to-hit chance to 100% >.>) and the lack of a compass/quest marker and very little voiced dialogue, you'll quite like it I think. I for one enjoyed spears being a combat option and there's a greater sense of exploration when so many things are left unmarked.

Well, that encourages me even more really, with morrowind I think I'll be fine with the graphics, I mean I played the first deus ex and I didn't stop because of the graphics at the very least (didn't complete it, as well as hating killing people in a world where they are characterised, and also because of the skyrim condition.) and I'm fine with a semi grounded game as long as its good gameplay wise.

Fair enough. ^^^ Morrowind's a great game as was Deus Ex. I don't know if it ever got finished but I remember there was a project for Morrowind that aimed to give all the NPCs a lot more personality and dialogue and stuff. I know Seyda Neen (starting area) was complete, but it's been years so I dunno how much the modding team ever got finished. That kind of thing is why I like Morrowind the best, though: with so much of the dialog being in text, it's really easy to edit and make mods and quests and so forth. Plus there's actually an alternate way to beat the game if you go nuts and just start slaughtering important NPCs, which is a nice change. :P

Anyway. It's the Less Generic NPC project if you're interested in that and can find a modding site for Morrowind that's still around, more's the pity. :\
