Wait a minute.  What if the reason that Klik's species is not the graft portions of themselves onto another is due to Kore?  Die's situation could have been one that went past Kore's.

You'd have a good theory there, except the stuff on his face isn't purple.  It's orangish (beard-colored) with white energy-eyes.

I still hope that the new Klik saves Forgath, but it's a real crapshoot.  Bad things do happen to good characters here.

But, really?  Thunt has shown various flawed characters, and had terrible shit happen to them, but in the end... I think the side of good has won.  Barely.  Through happenstance (in Dies's case) or fellowship (in Ears's case) and even in Complain's case, "Good" has been the best choice.  Long term.  Which I think in one way, is the difference between good and evil.  Long-term vs short term.
