Goblins: So How Hard Are You? (Makes sense in context)
« on: October 23, 2013, 01:48:44 am »

This thread will be about the webcomic Goblins, which is basically what would happen if a bunch of goblins became the PCs of a D&D campaign. It has - in my opinion - really cool combat, story, characters - it's good, basically. Go read it. It's a bit silly at the start but quickly gets very dark, just to warn you.

Also, warning for the squeamish - BLOOD AND GORE APLENTY RESIDE HERE.
So yeah.

In recent comic news, what the fuck, Minmax. No. Bad.

Oh, and there’s also an animated series being developed by Matt King, a bunch of the Futurama cast, and most notably for me, Phil Lamarr, aka Samurai goddamn Jack! (I’m 99% sure it was him, at least.) It’s a kickstarter right now, but, uh, these guys know how to make things. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1369986283/goblins-animated

Yeah, that was pretty much my reaction.  What are you doing, Minmax?

Wow! I used to read this ages ago, but I never realized it was still going. Starting again from the beginning now, so please spoiler the spoilers appropriately. : )

Since the only imaginable point of such a thread is to discuss recent updates or at the very least stuff that has happened in the comic, I would just outright assume every post after this one is going to be a spoiler. I am certainly not going to spoiler every single post!

You must write without reading, and give us commentary as you progress.

Awww... But isn't this thread likely to call attention to the comic and attract more new readers, who will then be unable to contribute to the discussion? It's not that hard to spoiler, just highlight the post and click the button... *puppy dog eyes*

But they couldn't contribute to the discussion if they weren't allowed to post spoilers, and how would they know which spoilers in response they could read? It's madness!

Uhh.
I think I have to side with GG on this one, Sappho; I can't ask people to spoiler everything in their posts after all :/
The archive binge will keep you occupied anyhow, I think, but I can't ask people to spoiler stuff when we don't know if that's a spoiler or not.
Don't worry, it's not that long. A few days at most of going through it will catch you up.

Then again, there are big spoilers and small ones. Deaths of important personages, major plot reveals, stuff like that.

Nice, I've been following for quite some time, though I prefer the goblin parts than the minmax/kin/forgath.

I remember reading this a long time ago, I think they made it to the city, or just after the city, can't recall. Might pick it up again, largely depending on my ability to cope with insanely low internet speeds :C
