Yeah. It's nice. Anyways, we have a mine built up. A guard tower up and working with a small farm around it! I've started construction on a Knarr and we're starting to have roads going and connecting the various little parts of our 'community'. It'll take a hell of a lot of terraforming before we have a good town, but we're starting on the beginnings of it at least.

Also we(I) discovered that when we reach 20 foraging/botanizing, we can decide what we should forage or botanize for. And we can get up to 3 items per tile at 50skill or so. God nabbit :p

I asked Xardalas last night but the consensus was kind of up in the air after I finished helping him. Are there any projects that could use another set of hands around our settlement? If not, I'm piddling around doing random things and slowly gaining masonry to build a stone house.

It looks like I have no niche at the moment.

I suppose I could put together a general list of things that need doing.

1. The entire set of hills are the little cove needs to be raised and made to look natural if at all possible.

2. We could use more farmland around the base of the tower, flattening+leveling out that area would help.

3. The mine could always use a another helping hand, seeing as we lack all metals but Tin and Iron last I heard.

4. I could use a 100 weight of tar added to the lakeside BSB for the knarr.

5. The trees along the coast have been thinned unfortunately, someone with a scythe could use the foresty skill to replant trees along the coast. Try to scatter them in a semi-random pattern. They need to be thicker as well.

7. I am missing many, many parts for the Knarr. While I can make them all myself, I would not actually mind assistance in installing them. Just be warned, this one is very, very, very mind numbingly boring.

8. We *always* need more botany bits for healing salves.

9. We could use a third large cart.

10. We need a exterior pen placed behind the mountain, a large one so we can hold bison, cows, bulls and horses. A pen for pigs for livestock would be nice as well.

These are just things from the top of my head that anyone could do. I know a few other players are working on more personal projects that they may or may no welcome the help on.

We're not actually playing Wurm Online. We're playing Wurm Unlimited on Steam, which is basically the same thing but technically different. Players of one can't play with players of the other.

Yeah, meant Wurm Unlimited I was actually back tracking a bit through this thread to see which version you use. Sorry for being unclear in this regard.
Still my question stands, I really can't stomach games like these completely solo and I am horrible at finding and joining communities ingame.

That would be enough for me at least someone on the right side of the planet so I don't have to log in at some ungodly times to meet anyone  at all. I will probably join you towards the end of the month then if there are still active people at this point.
And thanks for the quick answers guys.  :D

There should be. Most of the time when I pop on, I catch five to six others online. Kevin and Mero pop on all the time. Ratchet keeps really odd hours so he pops on whenever.

At some point today I'll be getting on. Also, to add to that list, we definitely should have some plot land/houses near the mine on the hill.. So if anyone has absolutely nothing to do, they could possibly help me flatten an area for my house. And I'd pay them in armor.

Bad chain armor.. but armor nonetheless.

There is a large enough hillside near your sign that I wouldn't be surprised if you dig down to stone and have to start lowering it. I would also not be surprised if you end up not having enough digging skill to get started.

If you still want to do this, it might be easiest to go to the peat field and dig, dropping peat into a wagon as your inventory gets full. There was one tile I could dig from with basically no digging skill.

Your house is built.

On that note, house construction is on a hold for a little while. I want to get my own place up so I have a place to actually stockpile up logs and excess parts.
