Just played my first Naga Siren support game.  Using a guide of course.  My thoughts on NS playing her are about the same as I thought watching her in TI5: why is this allowed?

Not only was I farming jungle and warding at the same time (a few times, farming jungle and fighting at the same time), but her ult is just like... vovlo pls.  This morphling on my team with criminally poor judgement kept walking off on his own and getting ganked by 3+ people.  Want to know how many times he died?  4, and at least one of those was laning phase.  Every time he'd get caught in the middle of things, I swoop in, hit r, and repeatedly type "b" into chat.  My team was super ganky (Slark + Weaver), roaming all over the map and stabbing people.  But whenever *they* got caught out I would drop song, and tp out, and everyone else just walked away.  Like... its not difficult, and it just works.

Aside from the guilt, I think I might enjoy this character as much as Pheonix and WW.

Edit: Despite initial impressions, I might be really bad at this character.  But it also might be that I keep getting matched with potato laners.  Its the catch 22, I don't want to try out a new strategy in ranked, but I'm not getting a very good test in unranked.

Oh my god this Navi v Ad Finem game. It's the most 2k mmr game I've ever seen streamed, it's glorious. 63 minutes in now and still going. So good.

EDIT: VOD beings here. The game runs a little over 73 mminutes, plus draft n stuff

That feel when you haven't played DOTA in a month but you have to play ranked or you'll lose 600 MMR points when the battle pass expires.  I could literally lose all of the 11 games i have to play and it would be good for my MMR :/

Played 1 of my 11 games so far.  First one we were winning by a thread (we had all outside towers but they had an all carry team and we couldn't push high ground), then our jungle LC bought and fed a rapier.  To spite us?  Except I don't think they actually fed on purpose, i think they were just an idiot and they said they did it on purpose to save face.  Jungle LC seems to attract a lot of really angry potatos, like mid Viper.  Anyway, seems about par for the course from what I remember of this game.

I've been playing a lot of ability draft recently. It's fun, but I think it should be removed from regular queue and made an arcade mode so someone who cares about it can balance it. There's a few skills that are just so horrendously non-functional in one way or another that it really breaks the game mode. Riki being in the draft pool means its a win for Radiant, Aftershock has a dozen different skills that make it broken to high hell. ET's spirit is literally broken and you can't cast it.

Plus, the base hero pool can screw you over even with a fair draft. You can roll Visage and just die to literally everything because someone with defensive stats takes the Gravekeeper's Cloak, or you can get Treeant and become a literal god because nobody can duel you.

Nice.  They've been so close to being done with the DoTA 1 roster for so long.  Valve procrastinates the same way a person does.

In other news I finished exactly 40 games in the international ranked mode and now I'm paranoid that somehow I won't be able to change it to my actual rank.

He is definitely voiced by Matt Mercer doing pretty much exactly the McCree voice, yeah.

I was just laughing at that a minute ago.  He isn't even trying to do a different voice.

It sounds really bad to be honest.  League's voice actor fits the character much better.

Like, seriously, he could be, like... more Chinese? More trickstery? Right now he's... McCree. Frigging straight-up Goku would've been better, hell, his Japanese voice would've been pretty good.

Treant Protector is fun.  Living armor is simple to use but constantly watching the map is engaging and its rewarding to see your ally get out at 10 health and know they only lived because of you.  As is my way recently, I love building HH on him.  Buy a BKB or suffer a 9 second disarm bitches.

Also, it now shows whos in a stack together.  Its interesting to see how Overwatch has an influence.  Valve certainly seems to have some fans among their staff...

That feature has been in for years. Maybe even since beta, but at the very latest since 2014.
