Oh... never mind, that's fine.  I was wondering why they thought that would be ok.  Derp.

My okayness with this patch just went way up, but I still think the int scaling nukes is a bad idea and a needless complication (not that DOTA isn't already full of those).

Edit: Tried WW Aghs.  It was underwhelming, definitely one of those aghs that's cool on paper but there's no situation where its cost efficient.  It drained all of my mana super fast, even when I was stunned or under my own cold embrace.  There's probably shenanigans that can be done going in and out of a treeline but, eh.  There are better uses for 4K gold.  Even like an Orchid would probably be more useful.

Sounds like the same problem a lot of Agh's have. They tend to be absolutely horrible items on their own or when rushed. An Agh's should be a 5th/6th item, not something you get quickly.

If you mean tranquils + soul ring, sure.  Medallion will give about the same utility as a refresher at a quarter the cost.  Blink dagger overlaps with force staff which is better on WW, for the cold embrace synergy if noting else.

Tranquils + soul ring guarantees her early game, medallion is situational and forcestaff is if you really can't get that blink dagger for initiation or if your team already has great initiation (even then, you'd still want blink because you'd serve as the backup initiator)

I see what you're saying, and blink certainly could help, but force staff has too many useful secondary features to not be the better item here.  A team that's smart enough to counter or dodge a force staff initiation is going to be smart enough not to bunch up outside of fighting.  Winter's curse is much easier to get off once the fight is already joined.  I'll give you that blink is a viable choice but you really should try force staff on WW, its pretty great.

Also worth pointing out: you can't blink after cold embrace if you get hit by even a single nuke.  Where as you can cold embrace yourself and then slide out of there.

Medallion is not situational, WW always wants it pretty badly.  The only reason it isn't her first major item every time is because force staff (or, yes, blink) is so good on her.  Her ult boosts the attack speed of anyone she catches, lowering the armor of the ulted hero is the best way to increase the damage their allies do to them.  On top of that armor is one of the few stats WW actually wants pretty badly (24 + 2.1 str = pretty damn good on a support, and her ability set can make her a slow kill).

Things I discovered so far:

1. Lich is insane. In lane. Because almost all the lane exp is on the ranged creep... you can see where this is going. I had a game where Lich was level 8 when the other offlaner he was facing was level 4. If I was going against a Lich this patch, I'd abandon the lane and go roaming / jungle. Unless he doesn't know and denies melee creeps.

2. The super Orchid has an 11 second cooldown. Almost half the time of Orchid itself. It's nuts though super expensive.

3. That super force staff is broken as all fuck on guys like Drow. If you're Dragon Knight or Skeleton King I have no clue what you're supposed to do against it as she can push you back twice basically on top of the super duper range. Don't get me started on TA's super range meld shenanigans (if you do the force staff thing and then meld, you can meld strike from wherever no matter where they run).

4. The 150g exp tome is pretty sweet.

5. Pipe of Insight stacks additively.... FFFFF-. Fought a 6k average team (we know them IRL and those arseholes purposely queued against us) and we had QoP and Zeus. They bought lots of Pipes and made our two dudes worthless. I didn't even know that was a thing.

TA's base range is the lowest in the game now

I'm not sure why that thing is even in the game aside from Valve's usual OP v OP attitude towards balance.  It seems like it doesn't need to be there and ranged heroes can already kite melee heroes plenty fine without an item that makes it autopilot.

Wonder if Sniper will start taking that thing?  That + skadi (or orb of venom) could be pretty mean, bring a bounty hunter so you can perform tacticool sniper/spotter tactics.  Poor use of gold I'm sure...

Unrelated to the patch, I've started running Crystal Maiden with glimmer cape as the first big item.  Its simple, but it works, and man is it fun to let it go ult a bunch of people distracted by your teammates.  Sure, there a lot of counters to the glimmer+ult combo, but... glimmer cape is a great item even with no hero synergies at all.

CM is kind of like Shadow Shaman were for a few glorious seconds your ult makes you as big a threat as a core, but unlike SS CM has to stick her neck out and I respect that.  Makes me feel alive.

Related to the patch, I have mixed feelings about wind lace.  On one hand, tranquils + wind lace will make even slow heroes (like, say, the CM I've been playing) zip along at a decent clip.  On the other hand, the eternal frustration of support is that wand+boots+wards+TP leaves you with only 2 slots.  With a wind lace, you have only a single slot for any larger items you want to build.

Hotfix nerf to Sacrifice.

6.87b:
* Sacrifice Cooldown increased from 44/36/28/20 to 60/50/40/30
* Sacrifice Mana restore increased from 25/40/55/70% to 30/50/70/90%
* Blade Mail cooldown increased from 13 to 18
* Jinada slow reduced from 25/27/29/31% to 18/22/26/30%
* Armlet's armor bonus is now granted after it is fully activated
