I think I may actually have reason to think that my MMR is too low now.

My games have been more of a pain then anything else since they all seem to be high or very high and every game has like a tinker and void.

Been like a year since I was at 50% I'm pretty jealous also sounds like a good time to quit Dota forever so it will never drop

I'm not on much of a streak, but here's mine. I have about 700 other games on my ranked matchmaking account. I like playing alone on occasion, and playing solo forces me to change up my game a bit more than when playing with friends. I'm sitting at about 4700 MMR at the moment and trying pretty hard to hit 5k this summer.

I would say I've sunk more time into this game than I should have, but I've enjoyed 95% of my time doing so. You meet some really cool people in 1800 matches of DotA. (Also some obnoxious bastards, but there's a mute button for a reason.)

I feel like my ability to play is taking a downward spiral since games like this it didn't mater that I think I bought 40 or so wards to counter the enemy stealth heros since both axe and legion commander got blink daggers and initiated on whoever they wanted. Riki and nyx started ganking as a duo which could blow up even tide hunter before he could cast. Legion commander was jungle so I guess I could have bought wards to counter jungle. Even then I feel like I'm getting depressed over the game since all my knowledge of how to play and an attitude of "focus on thinking about what I can do and not what my teammates should do" is futile.

Well, with that sort of team you guys would have been pretty well served by an early 5-man push. It's hard to pick off a group of heroes easily, especially with the threat of Ravage and Eclipse while Sniper and Leshrac melt towers. (Plus Luna's aura makes tower pushes generally faster.) You also get to prepare the battlefield; you can put down a sentry ward or two around where your team is and you can be reasonably sure the enemy will come to you. Instead of warding the whole map, which is absurdly expensive, just take a few sentries to each push and get a gold lead through towers.

5-man pushing is also a strong answer to Riki, since he's super squishy and doesn't have any good escapes (stealth is good for initiation but it's terrible for escaping).  There's really nothing Riki can do if the enemy groups early and starts taking towers, his smokescreen is the only remotely useful tool he has in that situation.

That goes double if you start necrobooking.  With necrodude true sight he's hopeless.

Nyx is probably in a similar situation though he's got ethereal blade and spiked carapace to make his initiations a lot nastier.  That's where the necrobook would once again help a lot, squash him before he gets into range.

I'm having a weird time in dota recently. Every time I play something that isn't a carry, I end up doing well but my team loses because the other team is full of hard carries and our own carries dont do much, or I play a carry and then our carries jsut sort of faceroll them and I feel like I didn't do much because it was a stomp

I played as warlock recently and had more kills then our sniper, against terrorblade, void and phantom assassin.

He can absolutely be played as a support. He's just more useful as a carry. It's sort of like Leshrac, and to a lesser extent Lina. The hero is designed in such a way that they can make a significant impact without items, but given items they can become carries. If he's a support, it's probably best for him to be the wealthier of the two supports, if you're fortunate enough to have two. He can seriously wreck people in mid though.

I don't know what's happening, but I do know I found my new favorite hero: Lich. To my complete confusion I've been carrying as him, wiping the enemy team even later into the game, to the point I'm getting carry items once I feel my team no longer needs a support. It's both wonderful and terrifying.
