So this is a game I had in my head for a while, and I want to try it.


Rules

Attacking

Attacking works like this: you specify a direction, and attack. Your opponent will also do the same or block. If you have a shield you can block all attacks, with no shield you will guess where to block. Side swing attacks can target two squares side by side. If your two swings go in opposite directions they will be parried.Stabs cannot be blocked by parring or non-shield. If you block with your shield four times in a row it will fly out of your hands onto the ground.


Moving

The map will be in ASCII and the movement will work like: you can move three spaces in one direction, or two in different directions. If you are attacking, you may only move one space.

Weapons

Sword
Left right,Right left, up down, down up, stab
5,5,7,5,3 range:1 one handed

Greatsword
Left right, right left, up down, down up, stab
6,6,8,6,5 range:1 can only swing every other turn two handed

Spear
Left right, right left, up down, stab
4,4,5,5, range:2 one handed


The numbers are damage, the words are the attacks it can perform.

Cromwell and Greg enter gron the back. Greg is wearing the brightes gold armour he could find, and it makes a tinkling sound as he walks. Cromwell's green armour is darker, and looks more lick bronze that someone left outside for 30 years.

Greg is about to throw his weapon, when he relizes there is no way he could hit Cromwell from here (throwing range is 5). Cromwell starts moving south when his armour turns orange! The crowd goes wild.
