I found the AI Storyteller XML instructions and...tweaked them a bit. The population cap is far too low.

Yeah, especially for the Storytellers that aren't Randy Random.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

From  what I understand the pop 'softcap' is around 12 last time I checked.  It gets harder and harder to recruit new people as you approach that number but I have had bases with 20 or more before.  You just need to get lucky with high social characters/easy prisoners and slave ships.

Both Cassandra and Phoebe have a minimum desired pop of 4, a soft cap of 13, and a hard cap of 18. Randy is the same, but his hard cap is 50.

I boosted the soft caps to 100, and the hard caps to 250. Randy's hard cap is now 500. Muahaha.

Future note: Don't mess with thrumbos unless you have something better than a survival rifle/using multiple hunters.

maybe it's cheesy but whenever a thrumbo showed up I would just wait for it to go to sleep and then have a constructor go out and build walls around it.  Then just wait 3 days for it to starve to death.

Don't even need the walls built all the way, as long as they have the materials delivered to the site they block movement just like the fully built walls.

that was a luky dwarf. I had one dabbling surgeon fail so spectacularly that the patient skull flew a tile away from the table.

DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?
