"Leo, is it just me, or are we running into a lot of embattled travelers on the road recently?"

Alec slowly walked along, eyes scanning the skies. He couldn't fight, and he couldn't risk revealing his trump card yet, not while-

: "So you're a fairy too? They mentioned something-or-other about performances, renewals...?"

: "What?!" Alec seized up, "I- J- First she reveals my name, and then she tattles on my skills?!"

Alec runs his hand through his hair, exasperated.
: "...Matidla, we need to have a talk sometime. You're taking all the fun out of this."

The bard sighs, and looked over Candy as he passes by.
: "Wait, fairy? I don't... Do I know you from somewhere?"

"Halt fiends! Step away from the not so harmless old man!"

: : "Haha! I like a lad with a lusty spirit. Very well! I'll acquaint myself with your merry band as soon as these fiends are defeated and tasting the licking of flames!"

"That's the spirit. Hang in there, and we'll aid you as soon as we can!"

"Leo, is it just me, or are we running into a lot of embattled travelers on the road recently?"

"It IS a bit odd, but perhaps it's fate!"

"Still, it is a shame that Maible decided to leave with Sir Roderic and miss Tacey."

The bard sighs, and looked over Candy as he passes by.
: "Wait, fairy? I don't... Do I know you from somewhere?"

: "Welllll, I don't think so. You might want to check your journal diary logbook just to make sure, though~!"

"Tell me about it. I hope we end up together again soon." Not to say I expect it...

"But right now, we got skulls to crack and old guys to save! Let's get 'em!"

Fezz moved to (4,4), keeping with Leo to make sure none of the creatures think to go after him.

"This happens often?" He couldn't help but ask at Shelia's comment about often finding beleaguered travelers. "I guess they haven't been keeping the roads safe lately, have they? Although I suppose this isn't any sort of official road."

If Gargoyle C is dead, Grifen rides to (4,8) and shoots Gargoyle B! She then cantos over to (5,6).
If Gargoyle C is still alive, Grifen shoots it again and cantos to (5,6).

: "Hey old-timer, you okay? Don't you fret, the preacher'll be here in a jiffy and I've got medicine that can help in the meantime."

"Hey, you were one of them in case you forgot!" Sheila gave Leo and Fezz another look over as they stood fairly close together. Something about them...

: "Welllll, I don't think so. You might want to check your journal diary logbook just to make sure, though~!"

Alec seized again. His face took the gesture of deference, but his eyes narrowed, and his hand reached around to pat his pack a couple times.
: "What are you even..."

His hand jostled his pack around for a second, and his face loosened to be somewhat more at ease.
: "No, wait, I do recognize you. Some kids back in town were talking about some sort of pink-haired demon-slaying fairy or somesuch." The bard craned his head and gave a little half-laugh, "Well, I guess you look the part."

"Hey, you were one of them in case you forgot!" Sheila gave Leo and Fezz another look over as they stood fairly close together. Something about them...

"Something I'm very thankful for! Otherwise I don't think we would of dealt with the situation so well." Fezz didn't feel like extrapolating on that.
"Although the current situ..." The man paused for a second, remembering Matilda is still in earshot.
"--ation is a little different. No horde of bandits, just some gargoyles from the looks of it. I wonder how they got here though... Do they have a den nearby?" He didn't notice Shelia giving both him and Leo a look over, paying more attention to the flying beasts just a short trot down from him.

Efa almost stares at Miguel and Alec (who she had been staring at rather often) as she walks to her location.
