Unfortunately for Leo, Miguel had a trained ear for shopkeeper whispers. You can't hide anything monetary from an old merchant. He knew exactly what was going on.

Leo blinked. Miguel's laugh didn't help at ALL.

"Er, well, thanks for the offer buuuuuut I don't think that will be necessary."

He grabbed Miguel and all but carried the old man out of the shop.

Perhaps I'll ask Fezz if he ever found such a book... although that would be an embarrassing question, for both of us...

Alec wandered down the streets of Moss with more than a bit of familiarity, like it was a second home. Barely keeping his eyes on the road, he flipped through his book with lazy eyes.
: "Hmm... That matches up, now just to confirm it."
Alec clapped the book shut and shoved it away before picking up his pace, looking for Fezz.

"No... I tried again recently... I snuck in and borrowed Leo's staff because... I mean, you know that pin I got during that one battle? Apparently... Well, rumor has it that if you use it, you can sometimes be blessed and it will awaken your ability to use magic. But... it was a no go for me. So, I'm just going to stick with weapons I guess."

No one is allowed to sneak into Leo's room without permission but Sheila. "You really should stay out of other people's things if you don't have permission. After all, I'm sure Leo would have been happy to let you borrow it if you asked."
