"What're ya talkin' about Grifen?" Sheila took out her boarding axe and placed it in Grifen's hands, grabbing the killer axe. "This thing has really good balance, barely heavy at all! My other axe you're holding is what's heavy." Sheila set the Killer Axe back down on it's display.

Leo and Miguel got to a shop. Standing in front of it caused Leo's purity to develop him a slight migraine. Den of dark magic was behind that door!

Grifen hesitantly took a few practice swings with the boarding axe and nearly fell over.

: "Oof! I don't think I have the right muscles for these things." She handed the axe back and looked around at some of the other weapons. None particularly caught her eye.

Leo looked at it.

"I don't think any of us can use anything from here, but we might as well look."

He went inside.

The inside was stuffed with assembled skeletons of small animals, old tomes, strange ingredients and a blonde witch girl with big sparkly eyes of green irises. She presented her current wares and made it sure to mention her skeletons aren't for selling.

"Well it's no big deal. You use crossbows anyhow. And how have your staff lessons been going with Leo? Any progress?"

: "No! Not persay. The Troyan army hardly needs tested by an old man like me. But at any rate, my assistance of your band has left me quite outlawed in Garaz. It my hope that my daughter may be saved from such infamy if I don't return. Her hatred of me is well-known and she did not at all support this venture."

Miguel looked at the menagerie of magical goods with vague distress.

: "I do believe you're quite right. They have fine goods here, but I don't think we want to dabble too deeply in some of these particular goods."

The nomad grinned.

: "I think I got it. Haven't had a chance to try fer real yet, but...yeah. It just clicked the other night."

Leo approached the shopkeeperess.

"Do you have any... non-magic books here? Possibly instructional?"

He turned to Miguel.

"I see. I hope things turn out all right for your family."

@Leo:

"Umm, herbal tea preparation manual, interspecies love booklet, meat boiling techniques and a small old book on beetroot dishes."

[Swordstar]

"Hmm... I think I'm going to not get any of these weapons. I'd like a sword but... These are all pretty expensive. Maybe someone in our group will have one they can lend me or something."

"Wow! That's great, congratulations! It's going to be great with you being able to help out Leo! I mean, we run him ragged every time we run into trouble."

Miguel perched his hand on his chin.

: "Herbal Tea you say? How much would that cost?"

Then Miguel turned to Leo again.

: "It shall pass. Wars come and go. She's probably making a fine bit of coin off this conflict. Nothing drives up prices like a war march."


: "But I've spoken too much. What about you lad? How goes it for you these past days?"

Leo glanced at Miguel and leaned slightly closer, lowering his voice so the knight wouldn't hear.

"Anything like the second one, but less interspecies and more... human?"

He then leaned back and resumed speaking to Miguel.

"Well enough. I've been teaching my brother and Grifen about meditation, and teaching Grifen how to use magic staffs, and in turn she's been teaching me to dance. I still think I'm not very good though."

"Oh Grif, you're working on being a healer now? That's great! My parents always wanted me to be a healer... But I don't exactly have, well, magical talent. It's why I ended up with the Duke. Since I didn't have skill in magic, I decided I liked fighting with weapons, and that was that I guess."
