Something grows within the anvil-shaped cloud. All the water within it begins converging and condensing into a single spot, a spot oddly devoid of any stray particles to seed the formation... actually, the water seems to actively avoid any would-be contaminants during this bizarre process.

Seconds later, it is ostensible that a widening funnel cloud is forming. The anagnorisis occurs exactly ten seconds later. Out of the bottom of the bulge, the an area of distorted light appears, 6 x 10¹¹ kilograms of water, rushing down at approximately 324 kilometers per hour and accelerating, as a single colossal raindrop.

By the time it impacts the caldera, it was traveling more than double that at 720 kilometers per hour. Its foaming wake compressing the air below it to hundreds of degrees. The mass of pure water slams down, briefly causing pressures in excess of 700 kilograms per square meter. Fluid traveling at over 1000 kilometers per hour raze the land, permeating the soil down to bedrock. The water and soil within the mud separate, leaving dessicated sediments in its wave as the newly purified water tunnels into bedrock, violently expanding and freezing with enough supernatural force to shatter and launch rocks larger than average-sized houses into the air before the water impales them in midair.

When the debris settle, the mountain can be seen to have lost a significant amount of height while a deep crater has been left in it. Enormous webs of inordinately viscous water hold tiny islands of rock aloft above the crater. The clouds that were once there, were there no longer.

Some sort spider-like organism busily scurries about, it seems to be a large drop of pure water, about the size of a person, with tendrils extending from it that it uses to move.

Osidkawn. A denizen of the world Lucinda comes from. They are water elementals that can control water. They are more or less the reason why most other forms of life exist as their activities result in rain and the formation of bodies of water along with ice-caps. Which is rather important when the world consists of floating islands seeing as rivers just run off to the planet's core and vaporize. They are mostly docile, but when sufficiently threatened, they respond via suplex.
They grow larger as they absorb more water and form nests by forming large rainclouds and bodyslamming islands apart before stringing the debris up as a web. They are immortal and hence do not reproduce (all creatures of their world are sterile and have some degree of immortality), though with enough violence, their soul can be forcibly ejected elsewhere. Their nests are actually filled with duplicate bodies of itself that spreads its consciousness and soul to.
It skitters away along one of the web threads away from Kyle.
