My family luvs Final Fantasy, but I never had the attention span(or patience, sometimes) to finish them. Couldn't get past one boss no matter what I did on FF10, for example.

My favorite's still FF10-2 tho.

7 will always be my favorite. 6 is the best of the sprite era games. I haven't played either of the mmos or 12, but apart from those, I've played all of (and beat most of) the core titles.

I'm honestly looking forward to the 10 remake coming out...sometime.  I put off my second playthrough (this of International version, for which I had also picked up a mod-chip; thank you, region-locking) when I heard it was coming out.  10-2...I could really take or leave it; I stopped during the first chapter, but I will probably try it again someday.  I was probably one of the few who enjoyed 8, even for how breakable the gameplay was, and 7 was good for its time.  In fact, I think the only games I ever actually finished were 7, 8, 9, and 10; while I played 3, 4, 5, 6, 12, and 13, I never finished any of them.  Though, 13 still amuses me, because I literally got intercepted by a store clerk who wanted to warn me that it wasn't a very good game, then was warned again at the check-out if I was sure I wanted to buy it.  That's...usually something of an indicator, there. ^_^

Eight was an okay story, and when I replayed it I enjoyed it (mostly), but when I first played it I could not stand it.

And yeah, 13 was pretty bad for a Final Fantasy. If it had been released under a different title, I would likely have liked it more, but I hold FF to a certain standard that 13 didn't meet. I'm going to get Lightning returns though, just to give it a fair chance. That and because I'm Squeenix's whore and pre-ordering it will let me have Lightning run around in the SOLDIER uniform.

Kind of bummed they're giving 10 a remake before 7, but it'll give me a chance to play more blitzball.

You know, the now have made 3d remakes for FF4 and FF3.

This could mean, in the future, a full remake for FF5 and even 6 (though the latter is more likely due to popularity). Mmmmmmm.

I think 10 was one of the only ones I played a bit. ...Well, one and two too, but that's because I have those on my phone.

If I recall, blitzball drown ball was actually pretty easy to do, especially if you can get Tidus' special move. Which was a bit of a pain, but worth it. The only real difficulty with it is that some of the other teams were just ridiculously statted up and you didn't exactly have a lot going for your team stat-wise.

The thing about that was that you needed to hire new players. All of the Besaid Aurochs (Except Wakka) all have bottom line stats except in their one specialty- and that wasn't high enough to warrant keeping them, especially when for most characters, you need to be able to tackle well, and be able to either shoot or pass well.

Of course, if you want Wakka to be useful, you need to almost get to the end of the game before you really start playing, otherwise it's impossible to use him because he's so low level compared to other teammates.

And yes, the Jecht Shot is absolutely hilarious in how useful it is. Say goodbye to two defenders automatically.

A remake of 6 would be phenomenal. Especially since they'd likely toss in even more Espers and things, which means a way to make the party even more hilariously broken in the endgame.

I don't think I ever hired new guys, just kept with the same old team. Still won almost every game, it's easy to juke the AI. I think my old tactic was to stick to the sides, measure the distances to see how many people I can shake before passing it to Tidus to get a goal.

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.
